Accordingly, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development requires market management departments of provinces and cities to continue to prevent the illegal trading, transportation and storage of smuggled foreign cigarettes, smuggled cigars, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, clearly identifying these as key items for inspection and control work, which need to be carried out regularly, continuously and effectively; proactively coordinate with the police force to review and identify key areas and subjects, focus on fighting and destroying smuggling lines, groups and hotspots for smuggling, transporting and trading smuggled foreign cigarettes, smuggled cigars, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

In addition, market management departments of provinces and cities need to strengthen propaganda and mobilize organizations and individuals operating in the area to strictly implement the commitment not to trade, sell, or store smuggled foreign cigarettes, smuggled cigars, electronic cigarettes, and heated tobacco.

Coordinate with local media and press agencies to provide full and timely information on cases of handling violations in the business of smuggled foreign cigarettes, smuggled cigars, e-cigarettes, and heated tobacco; warn consumers about the risks to human health from the use of smuggled foreign cigarettes, smuggled cigars, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, etc.
