Some developments related to the Russia-Ukraine war:
NATO troops present in Ukraine
Russian military expert Anatoly Matviychuk said that Western private military companies (PMCs) present in Ukraine could be disguised forces of regular forces of individual NATO countries.
“ There is more and more information that the PMC in Ukraine is nothing more than a regular army in disguise. There are units of the Foreign Legion, there are Polish units. They are testing soldiers in Ukraine. There is a unit staffed by officers from several Baltic countries ,” Matviychuk said.
According to him, NATO countries are not ready for an open conflict with Russia and the transfer of troops to Ukraine is taking place against the backdrop of logistical and weapons problems.
Russian military experts believe that for such a dangerous step, some kind of emergency situation for the Ukrainian armed forces has occurred on the front line.
“ France, Poland, Romania alone can use reserve forces. For example, Poland can enter western Ukraine. But if the confrontation on a global scale is not on the agenda, there will most likely be an expansion of military support, facilitating sabotage and terrorist acts against Russia ,” Matviychuk stressed.
Conflict in Ukraine to end on Russia's terms
Italian observer Alessandro Orsini said the conflict in Ukraine would end on Russia's terms and would be a disaster for Ukraine.

“ This war will only end on President Putin’s terms. NATO’s policy has destroyed Ukraine and endangered its future, ” Mr. Orsini said.
Ukraine avoids using Western tanks on the battlefield
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Ukrainian armed forces avoid using Western tanks on the battlefield due to the high risk of losing the vehicles.
“ Dozens of advanced Western tanks began to be used on the battlefield only on rare occasions… some were damaged, destroyed or captured by Russia, ” the report said.
The Wall Street Journal cited the example of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which hoped that receiving American Abrams tanks would be a breakthrough. However, in reality, these tanks were “standing idle in the field” many kilometers from the front because of the high risk of being lost when the Russian army attacked.
Meanwhile, General James Rainey, head of the US Army Futures Command, admitted that US armored units are in urgent need of modernization.
“ In the short term, we really need to make some urgent adjustments to support the continued combat effectiveness of armored formations ,” Rainey said.
Military Watch magazine previously reported that Ukraine had lost about 20 US Abrams M1A1 tanks out of a total of 31 supplied in the past six months.
US talks about Ukraine using long-range missiles to attack Russia
White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the US has no plans to announce any new policies on Ukraine and the use of long-range missiles.
“ There is no change to our position on providing long-range strike capabilities for Ukraine to use against Russia ,” Kirby said.
The National Security Council spokesman added that he “does not expect any major announcements on that issue” from discussions between President Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington on September 13.
The US is taking seriously President Putin's warning that he would consider the West directly involved in the conflict if Ukraine fired Western-made long-range missiles at Russian territory, but that is not a new stance from Putin, he said.
