LNG 1 MMPTA Thi Vai Warehouse was built with the goal of realizing Resolution 55 of the Politburo issued on February 11, 2020 on the orientation of Vietnam's National Energy Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045 to ensure national energy security, in which, for the gas industry, the Resolution clearly states: "Prioritize investment in technical infrastructure to serve the import and consumption of liquefied natural gas", as well as "focus on rapidly developing gas-fired thermal power using LNG, gradually making gas-fired electricity an important source of electricity supply, supporting system regulation".

With the first LNG import infrastructure system in Vietnam, PV GAS will be more proactive in gas supply to meet the energy needs of existing power plants and consumers, contributing to ensuring national energy security, minimizing environmental pollution in accordance with the Government's commitment at COP26 and the global green energy transition trend. In addition to the LNG Thi Vai port warehouse, PV GAS is determined to realize the LNG center in Son My and the LNG center in the North/North Central to complete the core infrastructure for the Vietnamese gas industry and PV GAS to develop more and more strongly.
