On August 11, the Provincial Steering Committee of the "Step Up for Children to Go to School" Campaign (CVD) held a conference to review the activities of the Steering Committee of the Campaign from 2020 to present, and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2023 and 2024. Comrade Dinh Thi Thu Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the Steering Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee Vo Duy Kha co-chaired the conference.
The report at the conference said: From 2020 to now, the Campaign has received the attention of agencies, businesses, philanthropists and the whole society to join hands and contribute to support and help students in difficult circumstances and at risk of dropping out of school to continue going to school. The Steering Committees of the Campaign at all levels in the province have sponsored students from primary school to high school graduation for 9,193 students at risk of dropping out of school, with an average support level of 2-5 million VND per school year. The total amount of sponsorship given to the students is more than 9.3 billion VND. "It can be affirmed that the Campaign has created motivation and spirit to help students overcome difficulties in life and excel in their studies. This is the noble humanitarian meaning that the Campaign brings. In particular, the business community and individuals inside and outside the province have made many positive contributions, promoting a sense of responsibility for the education and training career of the province", emphasized comrade Dinh Thi Thu Thanh.
The Head of the Steering Committee of the Campaign proposed that from now until 2024, the Steering Committees of the Campaign at all levels continue to do a good job of advising Party committees and authorities to create conditions for effective implementation of the Campaign. Focus on propaganda, education, and more widely disseminate the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on Education and Training to create a strong change in awareness and action of all levels, sectors, localities, and people of all walks of life about the role, significance, and importance of Education and Training. Further promote the capacity to organize and mobilize resources from organizations, individuals, and the entire population to continue joining hands and contributing efforts with local Party committees and authorities to help students at risk of dropping out of school to continue going to school, contributing to promoting the work of encouraging learning, encouraging talents, and building a learning society in the province. Agencies and units need to do a better job of mobilizing and resolving difficulties of students and their families so that families can unify and support their studies.
