On February 17, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors, had a working session with Dam Ha district on key directions and tasks for 2025.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Dam Ha district, in 2024, the production value in the three fields will reach 9,831 billion VND; of which the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery will reach 3,655 billion VND; the value of industry and construction will reach 2,980 billion VND; the total circulation of goods and service revenue will reach 3,196 billion VND. The district focuses on implementing planning, focusing on the District Regional Planning according to Decision No. 816/QD-UBND dated March 29, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee; completing 27 construction planning projects to serve socio-economic development in the area. The new rural construction program has been actively implemented, the communes focus on building advanced new rural communes and model new rural communes. The number of visitors to the district will reach 52,800. There are no more poor households in the district; average income per capita reaches 4,350 USD; political security, order and social safety continue to be maintained stably.
In 2025, the district sets a target to strive for: The development index in the economic sector of all three regions increases by 18% or more. Average income per capita in 2025 reaches about 5,000 USD . Strive to increase local budget revenue by 10% compared to the provincial estimate . Total social investment capital reaches 2,690 billion VND, an increase of 17.8% compared to 2024. Dam Ha district will focus on reorganizing the apparatus in the political system; promoting growth, creating breakthroughs in economic development; paying attention to developing eco-tourism and experiential tourism, striving to have over 63,000 visitors to Dam Ha district by the end of 2025. Paying attention to education, training, social security, cultural development, digital transformation, job creation, environmental protection and improving people's lives, with the highest determination to fully complete the goals and targets for the 2020-2025 term.
Concluding the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that in 2025, the National Assembly discussed the national GDP growth target of over 8%, Quang Ninh province has adjusted the growth target to no less than 14%, so Dam Ha district needs to closely follow the direction of the Central and the province to strive for a higher growth rate than the target of the Resolution 2025 issued by the district. In particular, it is necessary to promote the strength of the province's key agricultural production area, increase the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production. Focus on removing bottlenecks, soon approve and implement 2 projects on high-tech agricultural zones for aquaculture and dairy farming; resolutely hand over water surface for people to develop aquaculture, especially commercial shrimp farming, focus on expanding the area of passion fruit cultivation for export. Strongly attract non-budgetary investment resources, determined to clear land for Dong Dam Ha industrial cluster ahead of schedule, identifying this as a breakthrough in the district's economic development in 2025. Continue to implement approved plans, especially the planning of the resort and golf course on Nui Cuong island, Dai Binh commune. Regarding the district's proposals and recommendations, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directly responded and requested relevant departments and branches to absorb and coordinate with the district to pay attention to resolving them.
Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the progress of land clearance for Dong Dam Ha B industrial cluster in Tan Binh commune; inspected teaching and learning activities at Duc Yen Primary and Secondary School; and visited the passion fruit growing model in Tan Binh commune.
