On the evening of January 28 (December 29), a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City visited and encouraged units on duty for the Lunar New Year 2025 and on combat readiness in the city. The delegation was led by Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.

Visiting the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that the police force these days is working to keep peace for people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet. This is the responsibility and pride of the police force.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nen acknowledged, highly appreciated and thanked the tireless dedication, efforts, struggles and high determination of the officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City Police. From there, they successfully completed the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the people. These results have helped protect the peace of the people, maintain security, politics, social order and safety, and contribute to the overall results of the implementation of political tasks of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
Secretary Nguyen Van Nen also visited and highly appreciated the District 1 Police force in particular and the Ho Chi Minh City Police in general for quickly coordinating to handle, overcome fire prevention and fighting and support the unfortunate people affected by the fire in Co Giang Ward (District 1) on January 28.
The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee hopes that each soldier of the Ho Chi Minh City Police force will continue to contribute and strive to excellently complete their tasks in each field. At the same time, he expressed his belief that with a high sense of responsibility, professionalism and steadfastness, the Ho Chi Minh City Police force will continue to coordinate well to ensure safety for the people during Tet and the coming time.
Previously, reporting to the working delegation, Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Police will excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
