Vice President posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother in Dong Nai

On September 25, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province held a ceremony to posthumously confer the honorary title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother and present State-level awards in 2024. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council Vo Thi Anh Xuan posthumously conferred the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to relatives of 3 mothers. On this occasion, Dong Nai province had 12 individuals awarded the title of Excellent Teacher; 7 collectives and 14 individuals awarded the Labor Medal; 13 individuals received the Fatherland Protection Medal. In addition, 13 collectives were awarded the Government Emulation Flag; 116 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and 1 individual was posthumously awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. At the ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that the whole province has more than 1,100 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, currently 20 mothers are still living with their children and grandchildren and today 3 more mothers were posthumously awarded the honorary title at the State level. The conferment of the noble title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the Party and State reflects the will of the Party and the people, and is the recognition of the Fatherland for the great contributions and boundless sacrifices of mothers for the Fatherland. Mr. Vo Tan Duc acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the collectives and individuals who were awarded the noble awards of the Party and the State. This is the honor and pride of the collectives and individuals, a source of encouragement and motivation for cadres, civil servants and workers who have actively strived to fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to the process of building and developing a dynamic, creative and increasingly prosperous Dong Nai. He suggested that in the coming time, Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and localities continue to effectively implement the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services, properly and fully implement all preferential policies for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. At the same time, they should do well in activities to repay gratitude, take good care of the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, especially Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Along with that, units should continue to promote patriotic emulation movements, promote strengths, potentials and achievements, overcome difficulties and challenges, and join hands to build increasingly strong and developed units. Units and localities should strengthen propaganda, mobilize the masses, thoroughly grasp and study President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation, imbue with his teachings "The more difficult it is, the more we must compete", successfully carry out socio-economic tasks, and ensure national defense and security.
