At the Market, products are attached with QR codes, helping consumers clearly understand the origin and feel more secure when buying and using the products. |
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, e-commerce is one of the pillars contributing to the growth of the digital economy in Vietnam today. For the agricultural sector, in order to realize the goals of the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program for the period 2021-2025, promoting brand building, promoting and supporting the consumption of OCOP products on digital media is one of the key solutions of the program.
The 2024 Regional Specialty and Agricultural Products Market is not only a place for direct shopping but also combined with livestreaming via social networks, it is also an interactive experience and immersion in local culture. Combining with livestreaming via social networks opens up new opportunities for producers and sellers to reach a diverse customer base, including those who cannot participate in the market directly.
The market attracts the attention and shopping of many consumers. |
Through livestreaming, they can directly introduce products, share important information about their origin, production process, and answer customers' questions. From information about the production process to outstanding features and cultural messages, each product is conveyed through profound stories, creating a unique, intimate, trustworthy shopping experience and creating a deeper connection between sellers and buyers. At the same time, expanding the market through social networks also helps increase access to local products, contributing to the economic and cultural development of rural areas.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien informed: "Currently, e-commerce is a rapidly growing trend. In 2023, the total trade value increased by about 7%, when e-commerce increased to 21%. In the first 5 months of 2024, the rate of e-commerce in the domestic market increased to 24%, especially the development of e-commerce platforms on social networks such as TikTok is very strong".
In addition, to improve the efficiency of consumption of agricultural products and regional specialties of Vietnam by 2024, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hanoi city, proposed many important solutions, focusing on enhancing promotion and smart marketing.
Delegates visit and learn about products at the Fair |
In the coming time, businesses need to promote product introduction to buyers by using media such as television, social networks, and online advertising to spread messages about product quality and value, while building and developing agricultural and specialty brands with prestige and value. When people know about the diversity and quality of agricultural and specialty products from different regions, they will be more likely to choose and support these products. This will help farmers and businesses in the region develop more and create new business opportunities.
Within the framework of the fair, there are also activities to introduce and experience traditional dishes, regional cuisine; and demonstrations of agricultural and food processing processes.

In addition, the positive impact of this market is not only limited to the local area but also spreads to the community and the national market, contributing to the economic and cultural development of the country. Hopefully, through the market, people will gain more experience with quality products, creating momentum for the development of the domestic market and the export economy of Vietnam.
