Athletes who grew up from the clubs and were then trained in the Provincial Karate Team have competed and achieved many high results in regional and national sports competitions. Recently, the Provincial Karate Team competed in the 2024 Central Highlands Karate Championship and won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. Currently, the team has 13 athletes, including athlete Le Thi Thuy Ngan, who is honored to wear the Vietnam Youth Karate Team jersey.

The strong mark of the sports organizations in the whole province is the training of better quality athletes and organizing high-quality tournaments for Quang Tri sports. Typically, the Provincial Traditional Martial Arts Association and the Provincial Tennis Federation organize provincial tournaments; many clubs organize internal sports tournaments and expand to attract athletes from all over the country to compete. From the talent training system and through these tournaments, many good athletes have been selected for Quang Tri sports to participate in regional, national and international tournaments with high achievements.

Head of the Department of Sports Management, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Do Nhu Hoai said that sports organizations from the province to the grassroots level are operating effectively, creating momentum for the province's sports movement to continue to develop.

Through the activities and movements, enthusiastic and widespread, talented and qualified athletes have been discovered and selected to join the province's high-performance sports team; gradually improving the qualifications of referees and coaches in terms of technical and tactical systems, becoming active cores in building and developing the mass sports movement.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to direct, guide and support sports organizations to operate more strongly and effectively; at the same time, encourage spontaneous sports organizations and clubs with full facilities and conditions to complete procedures in accordance with regulations to submit to superiors for decisions to establish official associations, federations and clubs; organize and operate activities with high professionalism, thereby contributing to bringing the position of Quang Tri sports to new heights.
