In recent times, women's associations at all levels in the province have actively mobilized members to contribute their efforts and determination to effectively implement the criteria of the National Target Program on New Rural Development with many good and creative ways. Thereby, effectively implementing the process of economic development, poverty reduction, environmental protection, new rural development and civilized urban areas.
Linking new rural construction with the "5 no, 3 clean" movement
In order for the National Target Program on New Rural Construction to truly spread widely among cadres and women members, the Provincial Women's Union has been proactive, flexible, and creative in selecting content and implementation forms suitable to the actual situation of each unit and locality. In particular, it has directed and urged women's unions at all levels to actively deploy activities to implement the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", "Family of 5 yes's, 3 clean's" associated with the National Target Program on New Rural Construction. Include the contents of implementing new rural construction in the annual emulation agreement targets with the district-level unions.

In 2023 alone, the Provincial Women's Union directly deployed and coordinated the organization of many activities to participate in environmental protection. Directed the launch of 24 models of "Safe villages for women and children", bringing the total number of models in the province to 94. Directed the establishment of 11 models of "Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans" with 1,480 members participating, bringing the total number of models in the province to 22.
The Women's Union at all levels continues to promote waste classification and limit the use of plastic waste in households with effective and practical activities. Coordinated the organization of the online contest "Propaganda on household waste classification", the contests: "Civilized small trader market"; "Women with storm and flood prevention", "Women with environmental protection and urban civilization", "Women with market civilization, plastic waste prevention, limiting the use of plastic bags, environmental sanitation before and after floods" attracting 18,977 women's union members to participate.
The organization donated 3,920 trash cans/baskets, 579 shopping lanes, 2,011 kg of biological products, compost to treat organic waste, and 1,605 gifts to women members in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 494.8 million VND.
Women in the province have contributed their efforts and money to build socio-economic infrastructure and rural development planning such as: participating in "Green Sunday", New Rural Day, rural beautification, environmental sanitation, planting flower roads, flag roads, cleaning the marine environment, donating land to expand roads... with over 331,496 women's union members responding; donating to build volleyball courts, playgrounds, folk dance practice areas, playgrounds for children with an amount of nearly 112.4 million VND; supporting the construction of 1,866 hygienic toilets.
Special attention to women and children
To create opportunities for women to assert themselves and for children, especially girls, to not suffer many disadvantages, the provincial women's unions at all levels continue to have many practical activities such as: The provincial Women's Union in coordination with Plan International Vietnam has implemented many practical activities to comprehensively enhance the capacity of women and girls in 5 communes of ethnic minorities. Training on gender-sensitive content, intergenerational dialogue. Training for club facilitators on reproductive health care and early marriage.
Training on livelihood models, start-ups and life skills for young women; goat barn building techniques. Organizing communication events to prevent child marriage and summarizing child-led communication initiatives to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child (October 11); annual capacity building training for 34 teachers of secondary schools in 5 project communes on prevention and response to gender-based violence... with 1,500 students and parents participating.

Women's associations at all levels mobilized the establishment of 105 community communication groups with 910 members; 29 "Leaders of Change" clubs; 35 trusted community addresses with 324 members. Continued implementation of the Project "Responsible parenting in comprehensive child care and development in Quang Tri province" (U10 Project) with activities: organizing delegations to visit and study models; training in knowledge, skills, and supervision techniques for volunteers; organizing activities; organizing parent group exchanges and group activities to play and read books for children; training on cooking nutritious porridge for children; supporting livestock models; supporting breeding animals; learning tools... for parents and children in 15 communes in the project area.
Help each other develop the economy, reduce poverty sustainably
In mobilizing and supporting women to innovate, start businesses and develop the economy, the Provincial Women's Union has directed the implementation of many activities to help female members access knowledge, technology and opportunities to improve their capacity, start businesses, register trademarks, certify product standards...
Coordinate with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize forums and communicate on poverty reduction and job opportunities for nearly 1,000 women members; survey and select support to build many good economic models; support and consume agricultural products for women; create conditions for women to participate in product exhibitions at district and commune levels to introduce typical, safe and quality products. Maintain and develop the savings-credit group model.
Continuing to implement the "Breeding Bank" model, the association at all levels has donated 4,958 breeding animals of various types with a total value of over 1.4 billion VND; supporting 31 economic models for women such as: raising cows and goats, growing vegetables combined with raising livestock, mechanical workshops and selling fast food, selling fresh cream, and nursery models.
Providing preferential loans worth 500 million VND to 28 women's start-up models... Implementing the program "Accompanying women in the border areas", many poor women in the border areas were given gifts and supported with economic models to escape poverty...
The above activities have helped women, especially those in poor and near-poor households, have more conditions to expand production and business, develop the economy, increase income, and build a prosperous and happy family.

Improve the quality of the new rural construction movement
Promoting specific and practical actions in joining hands to build new rural areas, in the coming time, women's unions at all levels in the province will continue to implement quality projects, participate in solving social issues related to women in supporting start-ups, creating jobs, and sustainable poverty reduction...
Continue to organize training and communication activities on family work, gender equality, prevention of domestic violence, prevention of child sexual abuse, 8 criteria of the campaign to build the model of "5 no, 3 clean"; traffic safety, food safety... for cadres and women's union members. Replicate the models of villages and neighborhoods "Safe for women and children", the model "Family 5 have 3 clean".
Propaganda, mobilization, support, and guidance for grassroots associations to build/replicate appropriate models to participate in environmental protection, classify waste at source; register and implement projects/tasks to contribute to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Promote family education, enhance child care and protection, and support vulnerable people in the areas of family and social life. Maintain, improve quality, and replicate effective models suitable to local conditions, especially in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
