On the afternoon of March 29, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Nha Trang City People's Committee suddenly inspected the Nha Trang beach area that the city had rented to the 4-star Regalia Hotel (Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang).
At the time of inspection, the inspection team noted that the hotel was using a 25m long and 30.5m wide section of beach.
Meanwhile, according to the contract signed between Nha Trang City Public Service Management Board and An Khanh Trung Trading and Service One Member Co., Ltd., Regalia Hotel is only allowed to rent a 15m long and 11.5m wide beach.
With this result, the leader of the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Area of Nha Trang City determined that the Regalia Hotel had illegally occupied and used the beach area.
Also at the time of inspection, the hotel was placing 58 sun loungers and 15 umbrellas. While according to the signed contract, it was only allowed to place 6 umbrellas and 24 sun loungers on the beach to serve tourists.
The inspection team requested that from 4:30 p.m. on March 29, the Regalia Hotel must stop using the encroached beach area and collect all the excess umbrellas and chairs compared to the contract.

Notably, when the inspection team contacted the leaders of An Khanh Trung Trading and Service Company Limited, the company introduced Mr. NXTh. (48 years old, residing in Nha Trang City) as the company's representative in charge of looking after the beach.
The delegation asked Mr. Th. to provide relevant documents, however, he could only provide the decision of the director of Nhat Tien Investment, Trade and Service Joint Stock Company on appointing him as the staff in charge of the beach area.
"In the appointment contract of Mr. Th., it only mentioned that he was in charge of beach area activities. This is a general content, not the beach that the team is inspecting," said the leader of the Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Nha Trang City.
The inspection team requested that before April 3, Mr. Th. must provide the contract signed with An Khanh Trung Trading and Service One Member Co., Ltd.
Previously, Tuoi Tre Online published a series of articles reflecting that after being leased beaches by the government, some hotels in Nha Trang arbitrarily leased the beaches to others, leading to many violations in tourism management.
