The 2024 “Dream House” painting contest is organized to raise children's awareness and actions on environmental protection, encourage them to enhance their thinking, practice green skills, green behavior, and promote a green lifestyle.
Through the world of painting and colors, children will inspire and spread a beneficial green lifestyle to the community. The meaning of the contest is further expanded when the winning works will be exhibited and auctioned to raise funds to support children's activities organized by Vietnam Children's Magazine.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children's Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that, following the success of the "Dream House" drawing contest season 1 (2023) which attracted thousands of contestants to participate, carrying the mission of promoting children's participation rights, Vietnam Children's Magazine in coordination with Eras Vietnam Office continued to organize the "Dream House" drawing contest in 2024 with the theme "Green House".

Sharing about the meaning of the contest, Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy stated: Firstly, this is a useful, practical and meaningful playground that helps children unleash their creativity, improve their aesthetic sense and focus on the beauty of life. Secondly, through the language of painting, children have the opportunity to express their thoughts, wishes and aspirations for a clean living environment, in harmony with nature, which is the voice and right to participate of children. Thirdly, with the theme of the contest "Green House", the Organizing Committee and the children aim to raise awareness and join hands to protect the living environment, preserve a clean and beautiful living space, towards a new concept - "Green space of culture". That is also the reason why in this year's contest, the Organizing Committee chose the location of Nam O green land in Da Nang - an ancient fishing village with a history of more than 700 years as a suggestion for the children's contest.
The theme of this year's competition is "Green House" which can be understood as a green living space, saving energy, using suitable construction materials, applying reasonable technology, green utilities, and being environmentally friendly.
The "Dream House" Painting Contest - 2024 continues to be accompanied by Teacher - Painter Huu Hanh and Miss Vietnam - Ngoc Han; at the same time, the Advisory Board has the participation of Painter Van Duong Thanh. In particular, it is impossible not to mention the support of sponsors and accompanying units so that the contest can take place, spreading the meaning of the community joining hands to promote children's rights.

According to the Organizing Committee, the contest is voluntary for children under 15 years old and does not charge any entry fee. The contest is expected to be divided into 3 rounds: Receiving entries, Preliminary round and Final round:
Round 1 - Submission period from March 6, 2024 - May 10, 2024.
Round 2 - Preliminary takes place from May 10, 2024 - May 15, 2024.
Round 3 - Final round takes place from May 15, 2024 - May 20, 2024.
The winning paintings will be selected for awards and exhibition scheduled for the end of May 2024.
Each contestant can submit a maximum of 2 paintings (or can choose 1 of 2) in the following format: First work: Drawing about My Green House (idea of your choice); Second work: Drawing on the theme of the Green South O Land (Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang).
The total prize value of the contest is up to more than 300 million VND (including cash and gifts), with 10 First prizes, 15 Second prizes, 20 Third prizes, 30 Fourth prizes, 200 Promising prizes and many other prizes.
