Launching a literary and artistic composition contest with the theme "Pride in Kien Giang land and sea"

(KGO) - The Kien Giang Province Literature and Arts Association announced the organization of a literary and artistic composition contest praising the land and people of Kien Giang with the theme "Pride of Kien Giang's land and sea", with categories of photos, composition of vọng cổ songs, songs, and fine arts works. The expected time for the summary and award ceremony is mid-April 2025.

The contest is one of the activities to summarize 50 years of literature and art in Kien Giang province after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The entries praise the good traditional values, praise the land and people of Kien Giang, the armed forces of Kien Giang; the great achievements in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Kien Giang; reflect the great achievements that the Party Committee and people of Kien Giang have strived to achieve in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, achievements in the renovation period...

For fine art works, the entries must be works that have not been exhibited or won any awards in competitions; each author can submit a maximum of 3 works. The works must be in the forms of painting, graphic arts, sculpture, installation art and other forms of contemporary art; the deadline for submission is April 15, 2025.

The song must be a new composition, complete with music and lyrics; the song must be 32 beats, 4-6 sentences; the work must be typed on A4 paper; each author can submit up to 10 works and use a pen name; the deadline for receiving works is April 4, 2025. Authors must send their works to the email [email protected] or directly to the Kien Giang Literature and Arts Association.

For artistic photography, the photos must be taken in Kien Giang province, from April 30, 1975 to April 4, 2025. The works must be color photos, black and white photos, in digital format; each author can submit a maximum of 50 works; the author can submit the works on the artistic photography contest website with the theme "Pride of Kien Giang land and sea" at http://www.anhnghethuatkiengiang.com or send the photo files directly to the association.
