Am Chua festival

Every year, in the first days of the third lunar month, people, pilgrims, and tourists from all over the province and outside the province come together at Am Chua National Monument (Dien Dien Commune, Dien Khanh District) to attend the Am Chua Festival. Each person who comes to the festival shows their respect to Thien YA Na Holy Mother and prays for good things for themselves, their families, and the community. They bring simple offerings, which are items, agricultural products, and fruits produced and grown by the people themselves, to offer to the Mother.

Having the opportunity to attend the Am Chua festival, seeing the people and pilgrims from all over carefully preparing offerings to the Mother Goddess and especially the sincerity towards Thien YA Na Holy Mother, we understand more about the belief and deep gratitude towards the Mother of the land. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Huong - Vice Chairman of Dien Khanh District People's Committee, this is the 38th year since the Am Chua festival was restored and the 26th year since the Am Chua relic was ranked as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture - Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). Every year, with the contribution of the people and the attention and support of all levels and sectors, the Am Chua national relic has been restored, embellished and protected; the festival has increasingly attracted the attention of people, pilgrims and tourists inside and outside the province.
