Strive for an average exploited raw wood output of 1,200,000 m3/year in the period of 2026.

Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Project on developing multi-use values ​​of forest ecosystems by 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the province.

The plan sets the goal of sustainable development of wood material supply through intensive organization and expansion of large timber plantation areas to ensure proactive supply of raw materials, contributing to improving productivity, value of planted forests and added value of the wood processing industry.

Strive for an average exploited raw wood output of 1,000,000 ^m3 /year in the period up to 2025, and 1,200,000 ^m3 /year in the period 2026 - 2030; ensure that wood and wood products use legal wood sources, meet the requirements of the domestic consumer market and aim for export.

Develop effective and sustainable forms of combined agricultural, forestry and fishery production organization based on exploiting the potential and advantages of each locality in the province, associated with effectively promoting indigenous knowledge to increase added value from forests, creating many products and services.

Develop forest environmental services based on State regulations and local conditions; effectively manage and use revenue from forest environmental services in accordance with legal regulations.

Effectively deploy forest carbon sequestration and storage services and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting deforestation and forest degradation, sustainable forest management, and green growth in the area according to regulations; strive to increase revenue from forest environmental services to reach the national average, about 5%/year.

Along with that, develop community tourism activities, eco-tourism, resorts, sustainable entertainment, focusing on areas with forests, resources and tourism potential. Manage, develop, exploit and sustainably use non-timber forest products, medicinal plants under the forest canopy.

Building and implementing the development of non-timber forest products and medicinal plants towards linking development along the value chain, from production, purchasing, processing to product consumption to increase the value of non-timber forest products and medicinal plants.
