Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) has just announced the personnel decision for Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Huy - Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

The decision was signed by the director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics on August 26, at the request of the leader of the university's human resource management department.

According to the decision, Mr. Huy resigned from the position of deputy head of training department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and transferred to teaching and scientific research at the accounting department of UEH Business School according to his personal wishes.

The decision takes effect from September 1.

Mr. Pham Quang Huy was appointed by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics as Deputy Head of the School's Training Department in March 2023. By October 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics will be transformed into Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and the training department will be transformed into the UEH training department.

Mr. Pham Quang Huy was appointed to the title of associate professor in 2020. Notably, in the application for recognition as an associate professor, Mr. Huy declared that he had published 88 scientific articles/reports in domestic and foreign scientific journals/proceedings (from 2008 - 2022).

However, according to scholars, much of the information Mr. Huy declared was "dishonest and most of the international articles were published in fake, predatory journals or were removed from Scopus".
