During 4 years of university, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoi and her research group published 5 scientific papers in group Q1 (the highest group in the global scientific ranking).

Right from the first days of entering the lecture hall, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai, Faculty of International Business, FPT University, stood out when she was in the top 10 of SchoolRank (a tool to rank high school students).

Not only achieving high results in her school semesters, Thu Hoai also won many major awards in academic competitions, impressively being in the top 4 of the international competition to find creative solutions for practical business organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University (China).

In addition to her academic achievements, the female student is also an outstanding student in the field of scientific research - a field that is considered dry and requires a large investment of time and intelligence. During her 4-year journey at FPT University, Thu Hoai and her research group members published 5 scientific articles in the Q1 group (the highest group in the global scientific rankings).

Some of the outstanding researches of this young woman in the field of economics include: The relationship between income level and innovation ability, providing important perspectives to promote sustainable economic development (published in the Journal of Open Innovation Technology Market and Complexity); How to apply decision-making models to identify cybersecurity risks and optimal strategies in the Finance - Banking industry (published in the IEEE Heliyon Journal); Factors affecting the innovation ability of information technology enterprises in Vietnam to enhance global competitiveness (published in the Journal of Open Innovation Technology Market and Complexity).

During her most recent trip to India in December 2024, Thu Hoai and her team members presented the topic “Innovative ESG Assessment in Vietnam's Logistics: Integrating DEA-MCDM and Fuzzy Sets”. This is a study on assessing ESG factors (environment, society, governance) in the logistics industry in Vietnam to help businesses make decisions in line with international development trends. Notably, she and her team members were the only students to present their topic at the conference.

"My friends and I were the only Vietnamese people at the conference, which further fueled our national spirit and helped us make impressive performances in front of the international scientific council," the female student confided.

Thu Hoai admits that the research path is not easy, especially when dealing with complex data volumes and approaching advanced analytical models. However, she always considers those difficulties as opportunities to train herself.

“Scientific research not only teaches me how to think but also helps me learn patience and solve problems flexibly,” Thu Hoai confided. She is not only a testament to personal effort but also an inspiration for the younger generation in conquering the limits of knowledge.
