On the afternoon of April 3, at the socio-economic press conference, Ms. Nguyen Minh Phuong - Deputy Chief of Office of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism - informed about activities to serve people and tourists coming to Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of April 30, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to Ms. Phuong, Ho Chi Minh City currently has more than 3,200 accommodation establishments serving tourists, including more than 130 hotels from 1 to 5 stars, with about 55,000 rooms.
In the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism will issue an official dispatch requesting leaders of tourism service businesses, accommodation, shopping, dining, entertainment, sports services, and health care facilities to prepare to welcome residents and tourists to Ho Chi Minh City during this holiday.
The Department of Tourism has proposed that units organize activities, additional services, and promotional programs for tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City and using the unit's services.
At the same time, improve service quality, diversify products, avoid price increases and price gouging, and absolutely ensure food hygiene and safety for tourists.
The Department of Construction also requested units to decorate and beautify accommodation facilities, creating environmental landscapes inside and outside the service facilities. Units also need to strictly comply with environmental protection regulations, keeping the facilities clean before, during and after the ceremony. Strictly implement fire prevention and fighting regulations, ensuring that equipment is ready to operate in case of an incident.
The units also develop and implement plans to ensure security and safety for guests at the facilities. Remind all employees and workers to raise their sense of responsibility in protecting customers, especially those who have direct contact with customers such as receptionists, security guards, etc. Note and guide visitors on how to handle situations when incidents occur.
The Department of Construction also requested that each unit assign specific staff to be on duty and have a hotline (leaders and staff) to promptly resolve any problems that arise.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism will also have a team to receive feedback from residents and tourists when participating in activities during the celebration, via hotline 1022, press number 8. From there, the Department of Tourism will promptly grasp and handle the situation, creating the best conditions for residents and tourists.
