Petrolimex strengthens cooperation with Enterprise Singapore

On March 26, 2025, in Hanoi, the leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) welcomed and had a working session with the delegation of Enterprise Singapore.

Overview of the working session

Enterprise Singapore is the Singapore government agency dedicated to supporting enterprise development, to enhance the capabilities, promote innovation and support the international growth of Singapore enterprises. Enterprise Singapore's activities contribute to building Singapore as a global hub for trade and entrepreneurship, and enhance Singapore's reputation for quality products and services.

The Enterprise Singapore delegation was led by Ms. Cindy Khoo - General Director, along with Mr. Jayakrishnan Gopalakrishnan - Director, in charge of South Asia, Middle East and Africa; Ms. Mabel Neo - Regional Director of Vietnam and Ms. Bui Thi Hong Anh - Business Director in Vietnam.

Petrolimex Chairman Pham Van Thanh hosted the reception and worked with the delegation, along with Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Tu and leaders of the Departments: Investment Strategy, General Affairs, Research and Development, Communications and Public Relations. Also participating in the working program was Mr. Bui Ngoc Thach Anh - Chairman of Petrolimex Singapore.

The meeting took place in an open and friendly atmosphere, demonstrating the interest and desire for extensive cooperation between Petrolimex and Enterprise Singapore. The two sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities in the field of energy transition and sustainable development.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Petrolimex Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh said: “Petrolimex hopes that Enterprise Singapore will continue to support the Group in the process of energy transition towards a low-carbon economy and sustainable development. Support Petrolimex in connecting with Singaporean partners and enterprises to cooperate in researching new types of energy, developing electric vehicle charging stations and carbon credit projects, especially credit projects under the agreement between the Vietnamese and Singaporean governments within the framework of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement”.

In addition, Petrolimex expects Enterprise Singapore to support Petrolimex Singapore to continue participating in the GTP Global Trader Program, introduce and connect with Singaporean enterprises in the field of digitalization and innovation; and inform about the Group's cooperation in the petroleum and biofuel sector with Singaporean enterprises.

Ms. Cindy Khoo - General Director of Enterprise Singapore was impressed with the strong development of Vietnam in recent years and this opened up many opportunities to enhance cooperation between businesses of the two countries. Ms. Khoo shared her desire to accelerate Petrolimex's energy transition programs. Enterprise Singapore's leaders affirmed that they will actively create more cooperation opportunities in areas that Petrolimex is interested in and that Singaporean businesses have strengths in.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain close contact, exchange information and seek specific cooperation opportunities in the coming time, contributing to promoting economic cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore.
