Chairman of Thanh Cong Group attended the reception of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh with CEO Skoda Auto – Thanh Cong Group

On the afternoon of March 27, at the Government Headquarters, Chairman of Thanh Cong Group Nguyen Anh Tuan attended the reception of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh with Mr. Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto Group (Czech Republic) who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, in 2022, Skoda and Thanh Cong Group (TC Group) signed a cooperation agreement to produce and distribute Skoda-branded vehicles, with the goal of localization, applying modern technology and clean energy.

In September 2023, fully imported Skoda models were officially launched in the Vietnamese market. The Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory construction project in Quang Ninh province is the central project at the Automobile and Auto Parts Complex in Viet Hung Industrial Park, invested by Thanh Cong Group. The factory started construction in early 2023; officially inaugurated on March 26, 2025 and put into operation to produce and assemble automobiles, with equipment lines invested to produce and assemble Skoda automobiles.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the cooperation between Skoda and Thanh Cong Group; highly appreciated the development of Thanh Cong, which is a large budget contributor to Ninh Binh province. The Prime Minister emphasized that both sides need to continue to overcome difficulties and obstacles to develop together and succeed together; hoped that Thanh Cong Group would improve the quality of human resources; train, foster, and improve skills and expertise for workers; improve smart management skills, reduce input costs; hoped that both sides would implement with a spirit of solidarity, harmonious benefits, and shared risks.
