Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tran Anh Tu officially withdrew his resignation and continued to hold his current job.
Previously, Mr. Tu resigned from the positions of Vice President of VFF as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to focus on business.
However, after consulting and advising from VFF leaders, members of the VFF Executive Committee of the 9th term met and convinced Mr. Tu to change his mind. Finally, the VFF Vice President in charge of professional affairs continued his work.
The 8th VFF Executive Committee meeting, term IX (2022-2026) on March 27 focused on discussing, contributing opinions and voting to approve many important contents, including:
1. Approval of the first quarter work report and deployment of tasks for the second quarter of 2025 of VFF.
2. Approving reports on preparations for the National Football Teams to participate in important tournaments including: U17, Futsal teams, and preparing the Vietnam team for the next matches.
3. Approval of the adjustment of promotion and relegation quotas of V-League and National First Division, including: 2 promotion quotas and 2 relegation quotas along with criteria for clubs participating in AFC/AFF tournaments in the 2025-2026 season.
4. The number of foreign players each Women's Football Club can use in the National Women's Football Championship and National Women's Football Cup from the 2026 season is 1 player.
5. Approval of Mr. Tran Anh Tu continuing to assume current duties at VFF and VPF Company.
6. Through other contents to improve the quality of training, professional work of Referees, sponsorship and development of Vietnamese football.
