Vietnam Education Publishing House has declared the retail prices of new textbooks to the Price Management Department - Ministry of Finance and publicly announced the book prices to students and parents according to regulations.
Textbooks for grades 4, 8 and 11 according to the 2018 General Education Program are expected to be released from June 15, 2023.
On June 13, the Vietnam Education Publishing House announced the prices of textbooks for grades 4, 8, and 11 of the series Connecting Knowledge with Life and Creative Horizons. These are two sets of books approved by the Minister of Education and Training and will be taught nationwide from the 2023-2024 school year.
Accordingly, the 4th grade textbook series Connecting knowledge with life includes 13 books, priced at 186,000 VND. The Creative Horizon series costs 182,000 VND (including 15 books, not including English books).
For 8th grade textbooks, the Connecting Knowledge with Life set costs 212,000 VND. The Creative Horizon set costs 186,000 VND (not including English books).
Grade 11 textbooks include 15 books corresponding to each subject, in addition to 12 specialized study books and English books. The book sets all cost over 400,000 VND, but students can choose their subjects and educational activities, so it is not necessary to buy the whole set.

A representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House said that the publishing house has prepared enough printing paper supplies and implemented synchronous solutions to ensure the supply of textbooks to students before the new school year begins.
For reprinted textbooks (including textbooks for grades 5, 9, and 12 according to the 2000 general education program and textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 10 according to the 2018 general education program), the Vietnam Education Publishing House has made efforts to organize printing, warehousing, and prepare for publication from May 1, 2023.
At the stores of the Educational Publishing House and local Book and School Equipment Companies, there are now full reprinted textbooks to serve the learning needs of students.
Teacher's books and supplementary books are continuing to be printed and stocked to supply to retail stores and schools to serve the needs of teachers and students.
Regarding new textbooks (textbooks for grades 4, 8, and 11 according to the 2018 General Education Program), the Vietnam Education Publishing House said it is organizing to deploy printing according to the correct procedures and regulations; ensuring publicity, transparency, and economic efficiency.
