The final round of Miss and Mister Huflit 2025, organized by the Vietnam Student Association and Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, ended late on March 15.
In search of a portrait of the modern student
"What do you think when many students today tend to study and work abroad instead of contributing to their homeland?" was the question contestant Tu Anh received in the behavioral section.
Tu Anh said choosing to study and work abroad does not mean one forgets one's roots, origin and ethnicity.
"Choosing to study and work abroad is also a way to contribute to the Fatherland, helping to convey the values of Vietnamese people and national culture further," Tu Anh stated her opinion.
What is the beauty of a modern student was asked by the judges to contestant Phi Phung. In response, she said that the beauty of a modern student is not only on the outside but also on the inside.
"Modern students must always strive to develop themselves to be able to integrate and exchange internationally. They need to possess the '3 externals': foreign language, appearance and diplomacy, and the '3 internals': inner self, content and inner strength," Phung expressed.
In the end, Miss Huflit was awarded to Le Nguyen Tu Anh (2nd year student of international relations and communications), and Mister Huflit belonged to Dinh Nguyen Anh Quan (3rd year student of foreign languages) - Photo: CONG TRIEU
Are students relying too much on technology?
Dinh Thuc received the question: "In the era of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT, what should students do to maintain the ability to think independently?".
Dinh Thuc immediately affirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) is not bad, and is even helping a lot in the development of the whole world. The only way is not to use it effectively, to abuse AI and then lose the ability to think and debate.
We must recognize that AI only helps us access information quickly and suggests good solutions. Most of the work must be done by humans, from building, processing to censoring and verifying information.

"Are students today too dependent on technology?" is the behavioral question that Dinh Nguyen Anh Quan received.
Mr. Quan admitted that he had met many students and found that they were indeed heavily dependent on technology.
This has both benefits and disadvantages. Quan explains that using technology helps students solve problems quickly. But depending entirely on technology in the long run can make them forget the ability to think independently.
"Technology or AI is just a tool and we have to learn how to use the tool effectively. If we consider ChatGPT as a companion, we are two friends who progress together. Whether or not we are good friends depends on how each of us learns to do it right," Anh Quan affirmed.
Before the behavioral round, the finalists went through the Vietnamese costume and evening gown performances.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, said that organizing the contest is not only to find the school's student beauty queen but also an opportunity to honor the intellectual beauty, the desire to rise up, and the efforts to become a better, more beautiful version of the students.
"This is also the quality that we expect from the young generation of Vietnam during the period when the country is changing," said Mr. Vu.
In the final results, Miss Huflit 2025 was awarded to Le Nguyen Tu Anh (2nd year student of the Faculty of International Relations and Communications), and Mister Huflit 2025 award went to Dinh Nguyen Anh Quan (3rd year student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages).
