(Dan Tri) - Many vehicles were stopped at a red light at Thu Duc intersection (HCMC), when suddenly a Mercedes car driven by a female driver crashed into 10 motorbikes.
On the afternoon of March 16, Ho Chi Minh City Police investigated the case of a Mercedes car hitting a series of motorbikes at Thu Duc intersection, Hiep Phu ward, Thu Duc city.

According to initial information, at around 5:10 p.m., the female driver was driving a Mercedes on the parallel road of Vo Nguyen Giap, heading from Rach Chiec bridge to Suoi Tien.
When the vehicle reached Thu Duc intersection, it slowed down to wait for the red light. However, the car suddenly rushed forward, knocking away a series of motorbikes in front of it, then continued to hit motorbikes crossing the intersection, dragging one motorbike under the car for about 50m.

At the scene, 10 motorbikes were scattered at the Thu Duc intersection. Several injured people were taken to the hospital by local residents and ambulances, including a girl who was seriously injured.
"The car was going slowly at a red light, when suddenly it crashed into the motorbikes and threw them to the sides. Two people were thrown onto the hood, and a girl was tragically dragged under the car. The female driver got out of the car and burst into tears," a witness recounted.

Upon receiving the news, Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police), Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, Thu Duc area, was present to regulate traffic and take the female driver to the headquarters for questioning.
