(NADS) - With the desire to preserve moments, beauty and contribute to honoring and promoting craft villages to the public, after work hours or during free time, on holidays, artist Truong The Cau wanders around recording people's activities through images, recording the difficulties when people work hard to create a product to beautify life.
Originally a soldier stationed in Ha Dong since 1974, in 1986, NSNA Truong The Cau transferred to work at the People's Committee of Ha Dong District, and in 2006, NSNA Truong The Cau transferred to work in Phu Xuyen District, Hanoi City. Having held many positions such as City Party Committee Member, Secretary of Phu Xuyen District Party Committee in a leadership role, the work was very busy but the passion for photography still burned within him and it was not until 2012 that he temporarily put his work aside to pursue his passion.
To have basic knowledge about photography, NSNA Truong The Cau registered for some classes to learn basic and advanced, from there helping him gain knowledge, more confident when holding the camera. After that, he established groups, registered to join photography clubs, invited artists to his workplace to take photos, compose about craft villages, with his new skills in the path of Photography, but in 2014 he boldly organized an exhibition in the locality so that everyone could know more, understand more deeply about craft villages in Phu Xuyen, where he worked. Those beautiful images were spread and contributed to expanding the activities of traditional craft villages in the District.
In early 2015, when he quit his job, he really focused more on photography, and had more time to interact and create. His photography skills improved significantly, catching up with the photography trends of the times in all fields.
In 2016, Artist Truong The Cau and members of the Thang Long Photography Club under the Hanoi Cultural Center organized the second exhibition in Phu Xuyen district, attracting many friends and photography lovers to come and enjoy the exhibition.
With his relentless efforts and burning passion for photography, he has traveled all over the country and abroad to capture the beautiful landscapes, nature and people of the places he has visited. From being a member of the Hanoi NANT Association, he was admitted and became a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in 2023.
On the occasion of Ha Dong's 120th anniversary, Artist Truong The Cau - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ha Dong City Party Committee, former City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Phu Xuyen District Party Committee, together with painter Nguyen Van Truong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Ha Dong District People's Council and a number of photography artists organized an exhibition of 70 paintings and photos at the Hanoi City Cultural Center (No. 7 Phung Hung Street, Van Quan, Ha Dong, Hanoi) to celebrate this event.
Working continuously for 20 years in Ha Dong and living in Ha Dong when he retired, Ha Dong land has been deeply ingrained in him as his second hometown (1974-2024). Fifty years of attachment to Ha Dong has left NSNA Truong The Cau with many emotions and feelings for this place.
Ha Dong stands out with Van Phuc silk village, Da Sy blacksmith village, and newly emerging urban areas that also inspire his creativity. He is also very proud to have contributed a small part to building a modern and spacious Ha Dong on the path of innovation and development as it is today.
In 2018, the 48th photo contest of the Hanoi Art Photography Association, the work "Walking in the Golden Season" won first prize and was taken at the place where he used to work and is living, his beloved and attached land of Ha Dong.
With his current health and passion for photography, Artist Truong The Cau continues to carry his backpack on every road to explore and find delicate angles, depicting the beauty of the country and the Vietnamese people. He hopes that in the coming years, Artist Truong The Cau will release many beautiful works from all over the country to the public and photography lovers across the country.
