During the past term, the district Fatherland Front has closely coordinated with agencies, units and member organizations to clearly affirm its role as a political alliance and voluntary association, an important political base of the people's government. During the term, the content and methods of operation of the district Fatherland Front have been innovated; the organization and apparatus have continued to be consolidated, improved and the efficiency of operations has been improved. The core political role and responsibility of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups have been increasingly affirmed.
Patriotic emulation campaigns and movements have been implemented with focus and key points, bringing practical results, contributing to economic development, solving social problems, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction. The organization and implementation of support for building solidarity houses and supporting livelihoods for poor households are typical activities. Social supervision and criticism, participation in Party and government building continue to be strengthened and achieve many important results. During the term, 12/13 targets have been achieved and exceeded compared to the Resolution of the Congress.
In the 2024-2029 term, the Dien Bien District Fatherland Front strives for 100% of villages and hamlets to organize the "National Great Unity Day"; each village and hamlet has at least 1 typical project or task. 100% of poor and near-poor households when facing natural disasters and fires are supported and assisted. Organize mobilization and donation of resources to support the "For the Poor" Fund at the district level to reach 600 million VND/year; strive to basically complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025. Strive for 95% of cadres, civil servants and workers in the Fatherland Front system at all levels to be proficient in using information technology.
The congress elected 57 delegates to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien district, term XX; Mr. Nguyen Cong Hong, Deputy Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dien Bien district for the 2024-2029 term. The congress elected 22 delegates to attend the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Dien Bien province for the 2024-2029 term.
On this occasion, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Dien Bien District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for its outstanding achievements in the 2019-2024 term; Dien Bien District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 15 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the 2019-2024 term.
