Goalkeeper Pham Van Tu (Thai Son Bac Club)
Van Tu plays the "main character" role for the first time in the Vietnam futsal team
Not Ho Van Y, Van Tu is the number one goalkeeper of the Vietnamese futsal team at this Southeast Asian futsal championship. In all matches since the beginning of the tournament, the goalkeeper born in 1997 has played impressively, showing that the trust that coach Diego Giustozzi has in him is correct.
Van Tu grew up from the Hanoi Youth team, then moved to Thai Son Bac Club in 2014, and was called up to the Vietnam U.20 futsal team. He was also called up to the Vietnam futsal team many times, but it was not until 2024 that he reached "maturity" and was given the opportunity.

Although not the main goalkeeper, Van Y still has his own value to be used at some important moments. Typically, in the semi-final match against the Australian futsal team, the goalkeeper born in 1997 was put on the field to catch the situation when the opponent was awarded a 10m penalty and dived in the right direction.
In addition, Van Y can also share the battle experience of the player who participated in the 2021 World Cup, won 2 Golden Balls of Vietnam futsal for his teammate Van Tu so that both can improve together. Coach Giustozzi also always affirms that the goalkeeper of Thai Son Nam Club is an important part of the Vietnam futsal team.
Fixo Nhan Gia Hung (Thai Son Nam Club)
Nhan Gia Hung once faced stars Dyego and Ferrao of the Brazilian futsal team at the World Cup.
Born in 2002, Nhan Gia Hung has been a mainstay of the Vietnamese futsal team for many years. He is also one of the players in the current squad that reached the round of 16 of the 2021 Futsal World Cup. Gia Hung is a "red seed" of Thai Son Nam Club, having been honed at Cao Bang Club and trained abroad to have the current development steps.
Fixo Pham Duc Hoa (Thai Son Nam Club)

There is no need to say too much about the influence of captain Pham Duc Hoa in the Vietnam futsal team. He is the only player in the current squad to have participated in the World Cup finals twice. Although he had to say goodbye to the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship early after the group stage due to injury (broken arm), he still stayed in Thailand to support his teammates.
Duc Hoa is also the first Vietnamese futsal player to compete in the Spanish National Futsal Championship for O Parrulo Ferrol Club in 2019. Currently, he is still a mainstay of Thai Son Nam Club, the Vietnamese futsal team.
Fixo Nguyen Manh Dung (Thai Son Nam Club)
Manh Dung is one of the most experienced players in the Vietnamese futsal team, having participated in the 2021 World Cup.
On the journey to the 2024 national futsal championship of Thai Son Nam Club, Manh Dung showed extremely impressive performance and won the title of Best Player of the tournament. At the 2024 Southeast Asian futsal championship, he continued to bring stability and support to his teammates.
Fixo Dinh Cong Vien (Sahako Club)
Park (No. 7) burst into tears when he helped the Vietnamese futsal team defeat Thailand for the first time in 10 years.
Under coach Giustozzi, the Vietnamese futsal team has reduced its dependence on Thai Son Nam Club's players. Dinh Cong Vien is one of the key players to help coach Giustozzi bravely do this. Fixo, born in 2002, has been playing more and more steadily, leaving a strong impression with 2 goals against the Thai futsal team (group stage) and a surprising assist for Thinh Phat to head the ball into the net against the Australian futsal team (semi-final).
Ala Chau Doan Phat (Thai Son Nam Club)
Doan Phat possesses the best individual technique in the Vietnamese futsal team.
Along with Nhan Gia Hung, Chau Doan Phat is a rare player who has been trained in futsal since childhood and has received a lot of investment from Thai Son Nam Club. From the time of coach Pham Minh Giang to coach Giustozzi, he has always been an important factor and received great expectations. Doan Phat's strengths are individual breakthroughs and decisive finishing. He was the only goal scorer of the Vietnamese futsal team in the play-off match for a ticket to the 2021 World Cup finals against Lebanon.
Ala Tran Thai Huy (Thai Son Nam Club)
Thai Huy has an extremely flexible left foot.
At the 2021 World Cup, former head coach of the Vietnamese futsal team, Pham Minh Giang, admitted that he regretted that Thai Huy could not participate due to injury. Thai Huy's cunning dribbling and finishing are "weapons" that every coach wants to have, and he has helped the Vietnamese futsal team break the deadlock in many matches. In this tournament, he also demonstrated those values, but was unlucky and did not score many goals.
Ala Tran Nhat Trung (Sahako Club)
Nhat Trung is no longer a strange face of Vietnamese futsal.
With his consistent performance in Sahako Club, the leading futsal team in Vietnam, Nhat Trung is often called up by coach Giustozzi. He participated in the South American training trip, participated in the Asian Futsal Championship and now continues to be an important factor in the Southeast Asian Futsal Championship.
Ala Huynh Mi Woen (Saako Club)
Mi Woen has affirmed her class in many futsal clubs in Vietnam.
In 2014, Mi Woen participated in a tournament for children with special circumstances. His outstanding talent quickly caught the attention of scouts and he also joined the training center of Thai Son Nam Club. After that, this ala went through many clubs such as Cao Bang, Thai Son Nam and now Sahako. He has always shown stable performance over the years, wearing the shirt of the Vietnam U.20 futsal team and now the Vietnam futsal team.
Ala Vu Ngoc Anh (Thai Son Bac Club)

Ngoc Anh is having a great time in his career. He is the leader of the Thai Son Bac U.20 team that just won the 2024 National U.20 Championship, played brilliantly with Thai Son Bac Club in the National Championship and was given a chance by Coach Giustozzi. This player plays skillfully, is extremely confident and has a lot of potential for development.
Ala Tu Minh Quang (Thai Son Bac Club)

Minh Quang has long been a part of the national team, but in this tournament, his role, influence and contribution are even greater. He was the one assigned the responsibility of taking the penalty kick when the Vietnamese futsal team was trailing 0-2 to Australia and did his job well, opening up an emotional comeback to win a ticket to the final.
Pivo Nguyen Thinh Phat (Thai Son Nam Club)
Thinh Phat is the number one striker of the Vietnam futsal team.
After Minh Tri, Dac Huy or Duc Tung, Thinh Phat became the biggest hope of the Vietnamese futsal team in many major tournaments. In the semi-final match against the Australian futsal team, he contributed 2 goals: 1 header and 1 powerful 10m free kick to bring the Vietnamese futsal team to the final.
Pivo Nguyen Da Hai
Da Hai (number 30) plays football confidently from training sessions to "real" matches.
PHOTO: DONG NGUYEN KHANG
Da Hai is the most impressive new face in this tournament. He has a similar journey to Ngoc Anh, when he grew up from the national U.20 tournament, but compared to his teammate, this pivo is even more explosive. Especially in the match against the Australian futsal team, he played like a warrior, making the tall opponents struggle, scoring 2 goals and bringing a penalty for the Vietnamese futsal team. In the future, Da Hai will go far if he knows how to keep his feet on the ground and continue to try.
Head coach Diego Giustozzi
Coach Giustozzi has extensive experience coaching top-level futsal. He has coached the Argentine futsal team and El Pozo Club, a strong team in the Spanish national futsal championship.
PHOTO: DONG NGUYEN KHANG
And we cannot fail to mention Coach Giustozzi, the chief “architect” in the journey to success of the Vietnamese futsal team. Despite the difficulties in the generational transition, the Argentine strategist still helped the Vietnamese futsal team make certain progress, especially in terms of playing style. Previously, the Vietnamese futsal team was only good at defensive counter-attacking, but now they play better in control and domination.
Obviously, Coach Giustozzi has shown the class of a coach who won the Futsal World Cup (in 2016 with the Argentine futsal team). He is also expected by the VFF leadership to help Vietnam futsal narrow the gap with the top futsal teams in the region and the world. It is just a pity that in the Southeast Asian tournament, he and his students could not have complete joy when they lost to Indonesia in the final.
