Impressive results from the Campaign “Millions of Kind Steps – Continuing the Golden History”

The campaign, organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in the form of walking/running and recording results on the online platform vRace, will be launched from November 23, 2024 to April 28, 2025.

The Campaign is a call for “Millions of steps” towards history, respecting and being grateful to our ancestors who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war to protect the country, so that we can have journeys of hope in the present and the future. Each step in the Campaign contributes to rekindling the glorious history of the nation, while connecting the community’s humanitarian support to those in difficult circumstances across the country. Especially historical sites associated with the 1975 Spring General Offensive: Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Ho Chi Minh City.

Accompanying the country in the work of healing the wounds of war and building a new society, the Vietnam Red Cross Society has actively developed the organization, promoted all aspects of the Society's activities, and participated in helping the disadvantaged to improve their lives.

After the war, the Association at all levels focused on taking care of families of war invalids and martyrs, participating in relief efforts, mobilizing rice donations to help people in natural disasters, repairing and building new bridges, renovating village roads, repairing classrooms, medical stations, etc. The Association cooperated with the health sector in disease prevention, hygiene, health protection, and planting medicinal plants. Nearly 8,000 teams, teams, and emergency stations were built in many localities, starting to implement the humanitarian blood donation movement.

Coming to the Campaign "Millions of Compassionate Steps - Continuing the Golden History", for every 1km that the athlete participates in, the units and businesses that accompany the campaign will support 1,000 VND for the humanitarian goals of the Campaign. Businesses and organizations that accompany the Campaign can register to support km converted into cash and goods to support humanitarian goals such as: free medical examination, medicine, housing support, livelihoods for the poor, nutrition support, clean water and physical and mental development for poor and disabled children. Conversion value: 1km = 1,000 VND.

Previously, in the breakthrough phase (February 3 - March 9, 2025), the campaign was accompanied by many brands. All donations were used to organize activities to support nutrition for poor and disabled children at schools and disadvantaged areas, build boarding kitchens, provide sustainable livelihoods and other humanitarian assistance activities.
