On the evening of December 31, Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays to celebrate the New Year 2025 at 3 locations: the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City), Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11) and Van Phuc Urban Area (Thu Duc City).
At 6:30 p.m., many roads in the center of Ho Chi Minh City began to be congested for a long time, with vehicles moving very slowly. In particular, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ton Duc Thang, Dong Khoi (District 1), Nguyen Tat Thanh (District 4) had very high traffic density. At the intersections, traffic police were on duty to direct traffic, but due to the large number of vehicles moving, congestion still occurred.

The roads around Nguyen Hue walking street such as: Ho Tung Mau, Huynh Thuc Khang, Pasteur, Hai Ba Trung, Ton Duc Thang... vehicles lined up in long lines, making movement extremely difficult. From 7 p.m., the number of people flocking to Saigon Riverside Park increased, causing the parking lot to be overloaded.
Many people choose to be present early at Ben Bach Dang Park to reserve a spot.

Ms. Le Thi Hoang Duong (living in District 10) said she was on her way to Nguyen Hue walking street to participate in the countdown program.
"I calculated the time to leave early but there was still traffic jam. Hopefully when I get there, there will still be a good spot" - Ms. Duong said
To avoid crowding, many people choose to "climb the curb"
Although the countdown program doesn't start until 8 p.m., many people have gathered in the city center very early to find a good spot to enjoy the fireworks.
“My house is far from the fireworks display location, so I arrived very early to choose the best spot to watch the fireworks. I also prepared a nylon sheet to sit with my family and wait for the fireworks to start,” Ms. Le Thi Huyen (living in Tan Phu district) excitedly said.
Ba Son Bridge was lit up and attracted many people to take pictures before New Year's Eve.
