Many universities announced an increase in tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year, with the highest school collecting 900 million VND/year/student.
This year, the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has applied new tuition fees. Accordingly, the lowest tuition fee is 30 million VND/year, applied to training programs of standard system, talent system and high-quality Vietnamese-French engineers.
For the Japanese-oriented program, tuition is about 60 million VND/school year; for the English-taught program, it is about 80 million VND/school year.
With the international transfer program (Japan), tuition for the first 2.5 years is 60 million VND/school year; for the last 2 years of transfer to a Japanese partner university, tuition is about 91 million VND/year.
With the international transfer program (Australia, USA, New Zealand), training in 15 majors and specialties, taught entirely in English, tuition for the first 2 - 2.5 years is about 80 million VND/year; the last 2 - 2.5 years transfer to a partner university, tuition is about 560-900 million VND/year.
Compared to 2024, the tuition fee of the international transfer program increases from 28 - 101 million VND/year (in 2024 it is 532 - 799 million VND/year).

According to the newly announced enrollment plan, Saigon University plans to adjust tuition fees for some majors by 1.5 times compared to previous courses.
Specifically, last year most majors had tuition fees of 65.8 - 70.1 million VND/course, high quality from 109 - 114 million VND/4-year course. This year, tuition fees for these majors are from 92 - 129 million VND/course.
Tuition for 4.5-year training courses ranges from 87 to 147 million VND/course. This year, tuition is expected to range from 150 to 167 million VND/course.
According to the school representative, the school is required to be autonomous and has developed a project to submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. If the school's autonomy project is approved, the school will implement this expected tuition fee. The new tuition fee will only apply to the 2025 enrollment period and will not affect previous courses.
Ho Chi Minh City Open University also adjusted tuition fees in 2025, with an increase of 1.5 - 2 million VND/year depending on the major.
- Technology and engineering majors: Biotechnology, food technology, computer science, artificial intelligence, tuition fee 28.5 million VND/year (increase 1.5 million VND).
- Economics, management, language group: Business administration, finance - banking, logistics, law, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean languages, tuition fee 27.5 million VND/year (increase 1.5 million VND).
- Social science group: Economics, social work, Southeast Asian studies, psychology, tuition fee 24 million VND/year (increase 2 million VND). High quality programs mostly charge tuition fee 46.5 million VND.
- Majors in Computer Science, Construction Engineering Technology, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, tuition fees up to 49.5 million VND.
Compared to last year, tuition fees for training programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics increased by more than 200,000 VND/credit.
Accordingly, the tuition fee for advanced international programs (internationally accredited) in Vietnamese is 1.3 million VND/credit; English x 1.4; practice x 1.2. The tuition fee for the integrated international vocational certificate program (ACCA and ICAEW) in Vietnamese is 1.3 million VND/credit; English is 1.9 million VND/credit.
Advanced programs (group III, VII) in Vietnamese are 1.1 million VND/credit, English x 1.4; practice x 1.2. Advanced programs (group V) in Vietnamese are 1.2 million VND/credit; English x 1.4; practice x 1.2; Bachelor of Vietnamese talent is 1.1 million VND/credit; English is 1.9 million VND/credit.
The Asean Coop program in Vietnamese is 1.1 million VND/credit; English is 1.9 million VND/credit; Mode Coop is 3.29 million VND/credit. The tuition fee increase roadmap each year is not more than 10%/year.
Training programs at Vinh Long campus have tuition fees 40% lower than those at Ho Chi Minh City campus, with an increase of no more than 5% per year.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade , this year's tuition fee will be adjusted by a maximum of 10% compared to the tuition fee of the 2024 - 2028 course. Specifically, the maximum tuition fee for the 2025 - 2029 course is expected to be a maximum of about 132 million VND for the entire course (faculties may be less, due to the small number of practice credits), an increase of about 12 million VND compared to the previous course.
