On December 25, confirming with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ngoc, Chairman of Cao Xanh Ward People's Committee (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) said that the fire broke out at around 10:00 a.m. the same day at Auto agroup Cao Xanh car garage.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with Ha Long City Police to mobilize 3 fire trucks and 2 water supply trucks to the scene with local people to put out the fire.

By 11am the same day, the fire was basically under control. At the scene, the fire burned down furniture, equipment, machinery and damaged many cars parked in the garage. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Mr. BVC (residing in Hoanh Bo commune, Ha Long city), the owner of the burnt car, said that when the fire broke out, he and everyone else tried to move the car out but it was too late.

“I brought my car to the repair shop this morning. When the fire broke out, I and everyone else tried to put out the fire until my hands were burned, but we couldn't save the car,” said Mr. C.

Currently, authorities are examining the scene, investigating the cause and calculating the damage of the fire.
