Water spinach and green mustard are priced at 12,000-15,000 VND/kg, squash and lettuce are priced at 20,000 VND/kg, tomatoes are priced at 20,000-30,000 VND/kg... For pork, prices remain stable, such as pork belly at 150,000 VND/kg, thigh and cutlet at 100,000 VND/kg, baby back ribs at 160,000 VND/kg...
Besides, although the price of some seafood has decreased, it is still high, such as whiteleg shrimp at 220,000 VND/kg, squid at 380,000 VND/kg, and red tilapia at 80,000 VND/kg.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - a vegetable vendor at Hoa Binh market shared: "Currently, the price of green vegetables has decreased sharply, no longer as expensive as during the peak of Tet. For example, leafy vegetables during Tet fluctuated from 30,000-40,000 VND/kg but now they are only about 20,000 VND/kg".
Ms. Kim Dieu - a vegetable trader at Binh Dien wholesale market also said that the supply of vegetables imported from the Western provinces and Da Lat is guaranteed. Prices remain stable, only a few types have increased slightly because they are not in season yet. However, purchasing power is still low because people have not shopped much after Tet.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, 3 wholesale markets in the city have resumed operations. As for retail markets and supermarket systems, they have almost all opened to serve the needs of goods of the city's residents. The supply of some items such as pork, poultry, poultry eggs, etc. is always guaranteed. The market is forecasted to be relatively stable in the coming time, with no shortage of goods or price increases.
