Many expectations from National Tourism Year - Hue 2025

National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities", is a typical cultural, economic, social and tourism event of national and international scale combined with Hue Festival 2025; associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue province and responding to and welcoming Hue becoming a centrally-run city.

The organization of activities is expected to be an important boost to help the economy, society in general and tourism in Thua Thien Hue province in particular flourish; create conditions to attract resources for investment in development, build new and attractive products. At the same time, contribute to creating momentum for socio-economic development of the province in 2025 and the following years.

Activities organized within the framework of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 will focus on 4 main program groups including: Spring Festival "Spring of the Ancient Capital", Summer Festival "Shining Imperial City", Autumn Festival "Hue in Autumn", Winter Festival "Winter of Hue" with more than 170 national and provincial events.

During the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, Hue expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists.

Of which, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and central agencies organized 8 national-level activities, Thua Thien Hue province hosted 62 activities (including 46 activities of the National Tourism Year program and 16 activities within the framework of Hue Festival 2025). Provinces and centrally-run cities organized 102 activities in response to National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.

Among the above activities, there are 4 key activities including the Opening Ceremony of "National Tourism Year - Hue 2025" combined with the Fireworks Art Program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Thua Thien Hue province taking place on the evening of March 25, 2025; International Conference on Cultural Industries - the foundation for sustainable tourism development on March 25, 2025; Cultural - Tourism Festival and Program to introduce tourism, cuisine, Vietnamese craft villages, connecting businesses on the occasion of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 in the European market scheduled for June 2025 and the Closing Ceremony of "National Tourism Year - Hue 2025" at the end of December 2025...

With a series of activities and events organized during the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival in 2025, Hue expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists, of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors; total revenue from tourism reaches about 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND. At the same time, creating a breakthrough for Hue tourism in 2025, ready to develop strongly on the foundation of the Ancient Capital with a new opportunity in a new era of the country.
