Established in 1999, EREX Group is a leading enterprise in the field of biomass power development and operation in Asia. The Group currently owns 5 biomass power plants in Japan with a total capacity of nearly 350 MW and is aiming to reach 650 MW. In Vietnam, EREX is one of the pioneers in the field of biomass energy, with projects being implemented in many key localities.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien highly appreciated EREX’s efforts in bringing biomass power technology to Vietnam. In particular, the Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant Project – scheduled to be inaugurated on April 25 – is expected to open a new direction in exploiting biomass potential in Vietnam, contributing to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, effectively utilizing agricultural by-products and developing a circular economy.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade welcomes businesses, including EREX Group, to continue expanding investment and technology transfer, and affirms that it will accompany businesses in the process of researching and implementing energy conversion projects in Vietnam.
