According to regulations, candidates will try to register for the exam online on the Exam Management System from April 15 to April 18.
From April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28, candidates will officially register for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Candidates use the identification code information on VNEID to register online at the high school, without needing to provide additional documents.
No later than June 7, announce the list of candidates who are not eligible to take the exam.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place from June 25 to 28, 2025. The Ministry of Education and Training has announced the detailed exam schedule for candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program and candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.
Before 5:00 p.m. on July 14, send exam results data and compare exam results to the Ministry of Education and Training. At exactly 8:00 a.m. on July 16, announce exam results.
The 2025 high school graduation exam has some major new points including: Reducing the number of exam sessions from 4 sessions as in previous years to 3 sessions. The exam is oriented towards assessing capacity, with new subjects according to the 2018 General Education Program; Literature subject can use materials other than textbooks.
The 2025 exam will also promote digital transformation, 100% of candidates can register for the exam online. Increase the use of process assessment results in considering high school graduation recognition, from 30% to 50%. Changes in certificates and incentive points for Foreign Languages, Vietnamese, and vocational certificates.
The examination invigilation and grading process has been adjusted to ensure compliance with the examination organization plan, while overcoming previous limitations and shortcomings to create more convenience for units in the implementation process.
2025 is the first year that 12th graders will take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. Compared to last year, the number of candidates increased from 1.06 million to over 1.1 million.
