Many projects light up highland villages

Recently, units of Son La and Lai Chau Electricity Companies (Northern Electricity Corporation) have installed and put into use many street lights and solar lighting projects to light up highland villages in the two localities above.

On July 20, 2024, Muong La Power Youth Union and Son La Power Company (PC Son La) Youth Union coordinated with Muong La District Youth Union to install 16 street lights and inaugurate the project "Lighting up the countryside" in Ta village, Chieng Hoa commune, Muong La district (Son La) with a total value of 20 million VND. This is one of the practical and meaningful activities to show gratitude to customers, contributing to improving the quality of life for local people.

The project "Lighting up the countryside roads" has created favorable conditions for people to travel, ensuring security, order and traffic safety at night, especially for students of Chieng Hoa Primary and Secondary School. Currently, Ta village has nearly 200 households living, so the installation of street lights has met the urgent need for light, contributing to improving the living environment of the people.

Mr. Dang Thanh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Son La Power Company, said: In order to implement the plan on implementing customer care and electricity saving activities of the Company in 2024, the Youth Union of the Company has conducted surveys and selected highland, remote and extremely difficult areas to build lighting projects. The projects handed over and put into use have helped the participating youth union members and young people gain practical experience, practice more teamwork skills, each union member is a propagandist to customers and the community about safe electricity use, environmental protection and energy saving.

Son La Power Company will continue to carry out social activities, customer care and electricity saving in the coming time. Projects such as "Lighting up the countryside" will continue to be replicated in other localities, contributing to creating a new look for rural areas, improving the quality of life for people and accompanying the socio-economic development of Son La.

In Lai Chau, Lai Chau Power Company (PC Lai Chau) has just coordinated with the Party Committee with the provincial agencies and enterprises to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of the "Solar lighting" project to the local government in Chu Va 6 Village, Son Binh Commune, Tam Duong District (Lai Chau).

The project was sponsored and organized by the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises and Lai Chau PC to install lighting bulbs for the village with 40 solar-powered lamps to illuminate the road over 3 km in Chu Va 6 village, Son Binh commune.

Lighting up the countryside roads is a meaningful gift that not only helps to illuminate the roads, changing the appearance of the countryside, but also helps people travel conveniently and ensures traffic safety at night for people. Besides, it also contributes to socio-economic development, ensuring security and order in the locality.

The "Solar lighting" project is part of a series of Customer Appreciation activities implemented annually by PC Lai Chau to share some of the difficulties, help people and ethnic minorities in the area, gradually eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and contribute to the implementation of the National target program on new rural construction in Tam Duong district in particular and Lai Chau province in general.
