People of Cao Bang province welcome the Lunar New Year 2023 in a joyful, warm, safe and economical atmosphere

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the entire political system of Cao Bang province have proactively, promptly, synchronously, resolutely and creatively implemented many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of all classes of people . On that basis, the people in the province welcomed the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao 2023 in a joyful, warm, reunited, healthy, safe and economical atmosphere; everyone, every family had Tet .

Thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the directives of the Central and the Provincial Party Committee on implementing measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Tet holiday in 2023, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province has issued 01 Directive and many documents directing departments , branches and localities to perform tasks to serve people to celebrate Tet joyfully, healthily, safely and economically . In addition, to ensure Tet care for the people, the People's Committee of the province has proactively submitted to the Government Office and relevant Central agencies to allocate rice from the national reserve to Cao Bang province to support hungry people during the Tet holiday in 2023 and organize the timely reception, allocation and distribution of rice and Tet gifts to the people , in which: 642,645 tons of rice have been allocated to 10,772 households with 42,843 people ; Allocate budget resources to give Tet gifts to 18,189 poor households in the province who have not received Tet gifts in 2023, each gift worth 300,000 VND/household ; Based on budget resources and socialized resources, during Tet, all levels, sectors, organizations and enterprises organized visits, encouraged, wished a happy new year and gave 68,550 gifts with a total cost of 29,791,600,000 VND to revolutionary elders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of people with revolutionary contributions, policy beneficiaries, religious dignitaries , outstanding artists, ethnic minorities in especially difficult areas, officers and soldiers of the armed forces on duty in border areas. and workers, ensuring Tet comes to everyone and every home.

Agencies and units in the province have promptly paid salaries to cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and pensions for social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits for January 2023, ensuring full, safe, timely payment, meeting the needs and creating favorable conditions for beneficiaries during Tet, thereby contributing to ensuring social security in the locality. Receive and resolve social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance regimes fully and promptly, ensuring the rights of beneficiaries, not leaving backlogs in records for regime settlement after Tet. During the Tet holiday, the provincial Social Insurance and the district Social Insurance have proactively arranged staff on duty to promptly handle cases of requests for issuance, exchange of health insurance cards, and health insurance appraisals at medical examination and treatment facilities to coordinate in promptly resolving the rights of people when going to health insurance examination and treatment.

The Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and agencies to strengthen inspection and control of goods for Tet, production and business activities in the area to prevent violations of smuggling, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, banned goods and violations of food hygiene and safety conditions... Accordingly, the provincial authorities have conducted inspections, measurements and quality checks of products and goods before Tet at 06 establishments in the province. Through inspections, all units have complied with the provisions of the law. The quantity of goods supplied for the Lunar New Year is abundant, the quality is guaranteed, meeting the consumption needs of the people, especially people in remote areas, extremely difficult areas; there is no imbalance in supply and demand of goods.

The implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures has been carried out seriously, drastically, and in accordance with regulations. Medical facilities in the area have been on duty, fully prepared medicines and supplies, and provided medical examination and treatment to serve the people 24/7. During the 7-day Tet holiday, medical facilities have provided medical examinations for 1,155 people; admitted a total of 935 patients to the hospital, including 836 inpatients, performed 64 surgeries ... , and there were no deaths at the hospital . Medical examination and treatment units have done a good job of visiting, encouraging, treating, and caring for inpatients at the hospital, promptly receiving, examining, and treating patients who come for emergency care and treatment; and providing enough medicine and medical supplies to serve patients. Food safety and hygiene are ensured . During the 7-day Tet holiday, no cases of food poisoning were recorded in the province at food service establishments.

Many cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the Party and the Year of the Cat 2023 were organized practically, in accordance with the traditional culture, customs and practices of the nation and measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, creating a joyful, exciting and confident atmosphere for the people in the province. Agencies, units and localities in the province mobilized cadres, civil servants and people to clean up offices, streets, village roads and alleys to ensure cleanliness. Many localities organized cultural and sports exchange programs to celebrate the glorious Party, celebrate the renewed homeland, and celebrate the Year of the Cat 2023; "Tet sum vay - Xuan binh an" ...; directed and guided communes , towns , agencies and units to organize and manage the Traditional Festival in 2023 safely, practically and effectively, ensuring the work of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic. Cultural, sports and tourism activities in the province The event was organized enthusiastically and attracted over 35,000 visitors, an increase of 52.2% over the same period (of which: international visitors were estimated at 500, domestic visitors were estimated at 34,500) . Revenue was estimated at 24.3 billion VND, an increase of 358.5% over the same period. Room occupancy was estimated at 55%. Particularly from December 29 to the 5th day of Tet, the special national relic sites welcomed over 8,500 visitors; Ban Gioc waterfall tourist area welcomed over 10,000 visitors.


Cultural, sports and tourism activities in the province were organized enthusiastically, attracting over 35,000 visitors, an increase of 52.2% over the same period.

Based on the funds mobilized from socialized sources voluntarily contributed by organizations and individuals, the Province directed and organized fireworks displays to welcome the New Year at 01 location in Cao Bang city; in some districts such as: Hoa An, Ha Lang organized a fireworks display ( low altitude ) to welcome the New Year at the district center. The fireworks were launched safely, with the meaning of encouraging and cheering up the people's spirit at the beginning of spring, creating motivation for people to continue to believe, actively work, produce and participate in socio-economic development in the new year.

The security situation on land borders and in the airspace of the province is stable, no complicated incidents have occurred, border markers are intact, there are no signs of violations of territorial sovereignty and national border security.

In order to continue to consolidate and strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between Cao Bang province and countries and international organizations that have cooperative relations with the locality, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province sent a letter of congratulations on the New Year 2023 and New Year wishes (for countries with a culture of celebrating Lunar New Year) to the leaders of countries and organizations, thereby creating a good impression of a friendly, dynamic Cao Bang province, always ready to cooperate and develop together with international friends.
