(PLVN) - During the Lunar New Year 2025, people will have 9 consecutive days off, which is the time when many attractive tourism activities take place. In addition to having fun, experiencing, and visiting attractive destinations, tourists need to pay attention to ensuring safety to have a completely joyful holiday.

The "paradise" of experience

Entering mid-January 2025, Vietnam's nature and climate are at the "golden" time for spring tourism. In all three regions of the North - Central - South, the climate is pleasant, not too hot, not too cold like the past winter months. The famous beaches of Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province), Phu Quoc (Kien Giang province), Da Nang (Da Nang city), ... have all passed the stormy sea season, gradually "opened" again, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to experience and relax to celebrate Tet. In particular, in the first months of 2025, all provinces and cities in Vietnam have special and unique festivals.

In Quang Ninh province, one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the North, there are many attractive programs during the Lunar New Year. Van Don Peach Blossom Fair is held at the Cultural - Sports Center of Van Don Economic Zone in Village 6, Ha Long Commune. The fair takes place from January 15 to 28 (ie from December 16 to 29 of the Lunar calendar), to honor and promote the image, culture, and people of Ha Long Commune associated with the image of native peach blossoms, a symbol of spring. In addition to the flower fair, there is also a traditional Flag Festival at Cua Ong Temple with art programs, folk games, entertainment activities; sports tournaments to celebrate the Party, celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025; Cua Ong Temple Festival...

Ninh Binh province is a famous spring tourist destination in Vietnam with many unique festivals imbued with national cultural identity. During the 2025 Lunar New Year, the province will organize the New Year Welcome Art Program in Ninh Binh city (hosted by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province); organize the Bai Dinh pagoda festival on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year until the end of the third lunar month; organize Spring Welcome programs, calligraphy market, spring market, old Tet... in Hoa Lu ancient town.

In Khanh Hoa province, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year to celebrate the Party - celebrate the Spring of At Ty, the province will have cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities such as the Nha Trang DJ EDM Festival from January 17 - 18 at 2/4 Square. From January 22 to February 3, 2025 (ie from December 23 to the 6th day of Tet), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Museum will hold a thematic exhibition "Spring Colors of the Country" and an exhibition of ornamental plants and bonsai. From January 26 to February 3 (from December 27 to the 6th day of Tet), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center will organize a mobile film screening to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930) and the Spring of At Ty 2025, in remote areas in districts, towns and cities in the province.

Ensure safety when traveling to celebrate Tet

At the beginning of a bumper tourist season, travel agencies, accommodation establishments, and businesses will have attractive incentive programs with affordable prices. However, when booking tours and travel routes, customers need to be careful to avoid "losing money and getting sick".

Since December, the Information Security Department, Ministry of Information and Communications has issued a series of warnings about new scams. For example, the scammers' tricks are to impersonate reputable travel companies or create fake companies. The subjects post a series of tour advertisements via social networking sites, text messages or calls from unknown sources; offer tours at extremely low prices compared to the market and require full or large advance payment without a clear contract or without full information about the tour company. In addition, there have been cases of using AI to fake faces to easily scam gullible tourists who do not carefully research the tour companies.

In addition to being wary of “ghost” tours, tourists need to find out information to ensure their own safety when traveling. Talking to the Vietnam Law Newspaper, Director of Minh Anh Investment, Trade and Tourism Company Limited, Mr. Dang Danh Long, gave some notes for passengers planning to travel during the Lunar New Year. First, tourists must choose a reputable travel company that is suitable for the service and needs of individuals or families. The characteristics of Tet tours are not the same as traditional tours because most of the staff are on Tet holiday. Therefore, tourists must have plans early and choose suitable locations. Some tours have services “throughout” Tet that passengers can refer to such as destinations in the South or foreign tours such as Thailand, China, Japan, etc.

In particular, passengers need to equip themselves with basic knowledge about the culture and cuisine of the places they are going to in order to be proactive in experiencing the service. In addition, it is necessary to carefully prepare financial matters, personal documents, basic medical medicines such as: fever reducers, stomachaches, allergies. Travel luggage should be kept minimal, neat and easy to carry and move. Always comply with the regulations of the travel company, as well as the destination.
