Working with authorities, the woman initially said she picked up the eggs while visiting a cemetery, but later changed her mind and said she accidentally found them while cleaning out of a hotel room.
Responding to VnExpress , the police and forest rangers of Con Dao district said that by observing with the naked eye, the eggs were of the turtle species. However, the authorities must send samples for testing to confirm.
