People flock to Saigontourist Group's 2025 food festival

On the evening of March 27, the Saigontourist Group Food and Culture Festival 2025, organized by Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group), officially opened at Van Thanh Tourist Area, Ho Chi Minh City. This festival lasts until March 30, open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This is a key activity in a series of programs and events of Saigontourist Group in response to the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City and the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of Saigontourist Group (August 1, 1975 - August 1, 2025).

Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Chairman of Saigontourist Group, head of the festival's steering committee - shared: " We hope that the festival will continue to grow, becoming an international culinary cultural event, contributing to promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam to domestic tourists and international friends."

This year, the Van Thanh Metro line next to Van Thanh tourist area was put into operation, creating favorable conditions for visitors to participate in the festival. Thus, there are two entrances to the festival at Dien Bien Phu street or Van Thanh Metro station gate.

This year's festival surpasses previous festivals in terms of the number of dishes and drinks, with over 600 delicious dishes selected and refined from all three regions of the country, and local products.

The festival also introduces many "unique and strange" dishes of the highlands such as smoked buffalo meat, grilled fish from Ba Be Lake, grilled local pork with mac mat leaves, Cao Bang corn rolls, Trung Khanh chestnut cakes, Quan Ba ​​thang co, buffalo sausage, pa pinh top (grilled fish)...

Besides culinary activities, festival visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a space filled with a festive atmosphere imbued with the cultural identity of the three regions.

At the main gate area, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., bamboo dance - monkey dance (or gong performance), bamboo dance - xoè dance, bamboo dance - monkey dance, and bamboo dance - bamboo flute performances take place respectively.

In particular, the notable highlights of this year's festival are two clusters of miniature landscapes of the Central Highlands communal house and the space "on the wharf, under the boat".

Within the framework of the Saigontourist Group 2025 Food and Culture Festival, at the booth of Saigontourist Travel Service Company (under Saigontourist Group), many attractive incentives are applied exclusively for guests attending the festival. In particular, the unit immediately reduces 50% for the 5th guest in the group when registering for any tour, departing from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group, the company has planned to bring this festival abroad to serve overseas Vietnamese and international visitors, and at the same time, it is also an opportunity to contribute to promoting tourism in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam tourism in general.
