On the morning of August 28, the leader of Ia Toi commune said that after fully verifying the information, the locality handed over Mr. Tran Quang Nhat to his family.
Previously, at 10:30 a.m. on August 25, while patrolling National Highway 14C through the commune, Ia Toi Commune Police discovered a man about 40 years old, wandering around in a tired state, showing signs of being lost.
Immediately afterwards, the police took the man to the Commune Health Station for a health check.
The examination results showed that this person had mild physical weakness and was not clear-headed, so the Commune Police took him to the unit headquarters to support him with food and drink to help him recover his health.
The commune police encouraged and asked questions and learned that the man's name was Tran Quang Nhat, residing in Dak O commune, Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province.
From that clue, the Commune Police contacted Dak O Commune Police to confirm the information and notify Nhat's family.
On the morning of August 26, Nhat's family was present in Ia Toi commune to welcome their loved one home.
Mr. Tran Van Toai (born in 1973, Mr. Nhat's older brother) said that Mr. Nhat is 43 years old this year and has a history of mental illness. Mr. Nhat left home on August 19 until now, his family has searched many places but has not found him. From Binh Phuoc, Mr. Nhat traveled through Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai provinces and reached Kon Tum with a total distance of more than 300km.
On behalf of his family, Mr. Toai expressed his deep gratitude to the police officers of Ia Toi commune for discovering and taking care of Nhat during his wandering days.
