Ngoc Lan said she wants to retire to focus on raising her son. She apologized to producers and directors for repeatedly saying she was busy and refusing to accept movie invitations.

On the evening of August 19, Ngoc Lan wrote a letter, announcing the end of her 21-year acting career.

Many people say I'm demanding, difficult and arrogant. Sometimes I do, I don't deny it, but in general I want to stop. I thank everyone who has worked with me," the actress added.
