4 key transport projects completed on April 30

Bai Vot-Ham Nghi Expressway Project

The North-South Expressway Eastern component project, phase 2021-2025, Bai Vot-Ham Nghi section through Ha Tinh province, has a total length of 35.2km, passing through Duc Tho (4.07km), Can Loc (19.43km), Thach Ha (11.68km) districts. The total investment of the project is 7,643.57 billion VND. The project is invested by Thang Long Project Management Board, started on January 1, 2023, according to the roadmap, the project will be completed in October 2025. However, the investor and contractors are determined to strive to open the road to traffic on April 30, reaching the finish line 6 months ahead of schedule.

Ham Nghi-Vung Ang Expressway Project

The 54.2km Ham Nghi-Vung Ang Expressway component project has a total investment of over VND9,700 billion, passing through Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen and Ky Anh districts, starting at Thach Xuan commune, Thach Ha district, connecting with Bai Vot-Ham Nghi Expressway and ending at National Highway 12C in Ky Anh town, connecting with Vung Ang-Bung Expressway. The project is invested by Thang Long Project Management Board, a consortium of contractors: Tu Lap Construction Company Limited, Xuan Truong Construction Private Enterprise, 471 Joint Stock Company, and 368 Construction Joint Stock Company.

In phase 1, the project will be invested with a scale of 4 lanes, design speed of 80km/h. In the completed phase, the project will be expanded to 6 lanes, design speed of 120km/h.

Bung-Van Ninh Expressway Project

The Bung-Van Ninh section is part of the North-South Expressway Construction Project, Eastern Region, Phase 2021-2025. The total length of the route is 48.84km, passing through Bo Trach district, Dong Hoi city, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province. The project has a total investment of over VND 9,361 billion.

The project started on January 1, 2023, and according to the signed contract, is expected to be completed on October 17, 2025. However, the investor and contractors are striving to shorten the construction time by 6 months to open to traffic on April 30.

Van Phong-Nha Trang Expressway Project

The 83.35km Van Phong-Nha Trang Expressway component project, with a total investment of more than VND11,808 billion, was started on January 1, 2023, and is located entirely in Khanh Hoa province. According to the contract, the project will be completed in December 2025.

As of April 2, the project has completed more than 70km, from Km 298 to Km 368+350 (from Van Gia intersection, Van Ninh district connecting Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway), reaching a construction output of more than 91%, exceeding the contract progress by about 11%.

Currently, contractors are completing items such as road markings, signs... to put the first 70km of the route into operation on April 30, 6 months ahead of schedule.

According to the Department of Economics and Construction Investment Management, to meet the target of 3,000km of expressways, it is expected that in 2025, about 1,188km of expressways will be completed, including 28 projects/component projects, divided into 2 project groups.

Group 1 includes 16 projects/component projects with a total length of 786km with favorable conditions or basically resolved difficulties and problems.

Group 2 includes 12 projects/component projects, with a total length of 402km. It is necessary to resolutely focus on removing difficulties in site clearance, construction material sources, and organizing construction in "3 shifts, 4 teams" to be able to complete in 2025.
