Nghi Xuan has the first ornamental plant product meeting OCOP standards

Implementing the One Commune One Product program, the Nghi Xuan District OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council has just inspected and reviewed the Xuan Son Peach Growing and Trading Cooperative Group in Co Dam Commune to evaluate and classify OCOP in the first phase of 2024.

After inspecting the peach gardens, the Council evaluated and scored based on criteria such as: product origin, value added, chain linkage, environmental protection during production, use of technology in a sustainable direction; production and business growth and use of local labor...

Through evaluation and classification, Xuan Son peach blossom product achieved 56 points, meeting 3-star OCOP standards. This is the first OCOP-standard ornamental plant product of the district.

The Nghi Xuan District OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council also suggested that the cooperative should study and research techniques for bending branches, shaping and creating positions for peach trees, and at the same time provide many different models such as bonsai peach, branch peach... to suit each segment and consumer taste, contributing to improving value and competitiveness in the market.
