Nghe An: Do Luong - Nam Cam 220kV Transmission Line Project to Start Construction in December 2024

According to plan, the Do Luong - Nam Cam 220kV Transmission Line Project will start construction in December 2024 and be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 9052/UBND-CN on the implementation of compensation and support for site clearance for the 220kV Do Luong - Nam Cam Transmission Line project.

Accordingly, in this Official Dispatch, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Hong Vinh, assigned the People's Committees of Do Luong, Nghi Loc, and Hung Nguyen districts to consider the proposal of the Central Power Project Management Board in Official Dispatch No. 9536/CPMB-PDB dated October 9, 2024 requesting direction on the implementation of compensation and site clearance for the 220kV Do Luong - Nam Cam Transmission Line project; preside over and coordinate with relevant Departments, branches, sectors, and units to implement and complete site clearance for the project in accordance with regulations.

The 220kV Nam Cam transformer station is located in Hamlet 1, Nghi Hoa Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Mr. Vinh also assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to regularly monitor, urge and direct localities and administrative units in site clearance and handover to investors to ensure project progress; promptly summarize difficulties and problems beyond authority to report to the Provincial People's Committee for handling direction according to regulations.

At the same time, it is recommended that the Central Power Project Management Board proactively coordinate closely with relevant departments, branches, localities and agencies to promptly complete compensation and site clearance work to ensure project progress in accordance with regulations.

Previously, to ensure the progress of the 220kV Do Luong - Nam Cam transmission line project, in Official Dispatch No. 9536/CPMB-PDB, the Central Power Project Management Board requested the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document directing the People's Committees of the districts: Do Luong, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen to coordinate with the Central Power Project Management Board and related units to implement compensation and support for site clearance to implement the project. According to the plan, the project will start construction in December 2024 and be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2025. Regarding the cadastral measurement file for land acquisition and site clearance compensation for the project, it was approved by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in June 2024.

The objective of the 220kV Do Luong - Nam Cam transmission line project is to increase the stability of power supply for Nghe An province's load, reduce power loss and electricity loss in the power system, and improve the production and business efficiency of Vietnam Electricity Group and the National Power Transmission Corporation.

The 220kV Nam Cam transformer station is designed half-indoor, half-outdoor, with a number of main construction items such as the central control house; permanent guard house; operator rest house; and pumping station house.

The project was approved in principle for investment by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in August 2024. The approved investor is the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), located at 18 Tran Nguyen Han Street, Ly Thai To Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City.
