On December 5 and 6, HDBank opened two new transaction points in the Mekong Delta.
Support for agriculture, farmers, rural areas
These two new transaction points are located in Duyen Hai and Tieu Can districts, Tra Vinh province, increasing HDBank's scale of operations to 364 transaction points nationwide.
All new HDBank transaction points are designed with modern, spacious and convenient spaces. To serve the retail strategy, HDBank is synchronously developing activities such as digital applications, expanding the network, diversifying products, improving services...
In the Mekong Delta region, HDBank network actively supports customers with loan services for production and business, rural agriculture, tourism services...
HDBank representative said that expanding the transaction network is an important plan of HDBank to provide an optimal and modern portfolio of banking and financial products and services to many customers, especially in mountainous and rural areas, as well as to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
This is also the strategic development plan for scale and quality of operations that HDBank's Board of Directors has approved for the period 2021 - 2025.
In 2024, the bank will continue to pursue a green and sustainable development strategy, continuously integrating digital technology to serve retail customers and small businesses in developing rural and urban areas.
HDBank's business results are also very positive with pre-tax profit in the first 9 months of the year reaching VND12,655 billion, ROE and ROA indexes among the industry's leading groups, reflecting sustainable financial strength and effective risk management capacity.
The Bank also pioneered the establishment of an ESG committee to oversee the implementation of sustainability initiatives and issue sustainability reports to raise awareness of ESG in the Vietnamese business community.
Along with its business achievements, HDBank also actively participates in social programs with a preferential credit package of VND 12,000 billion to support economic recovery after the storm, and contributes VND 80 billion to the temporary housing elimination program launched by the Prime Minister.
Promoting effective consumption of Vietnamese agricultural specialties on digital platforms
Before 2023, HDBank implemented many comprehensive support programs for participants in the OCOP Program, contributing to promoting the effective consumption of Vietnamese agricultural specialties on digital platforms.
Sales of "OCOP Market" livestreamed on TikTok with subsidies from HDBank have reached billions of dong.
In 2024, this journey will continue to be promoted with more practical and effective solutions for each locality across the country.
With 35 years of operation, HDBank is a pioneering commercial bank with strengths in developing green credit, financing value chains, investing in agriculture and rural areas with many programs, many specific and specialized products and many incentive programs continuously implemented for businesses in each locality.
HDBank has also developed a financial service website system that is specific to each locality in 63 provinces and cities, helping customers in each locality easily connect, solve financial needs and make transactions anytime, anywhere.
At the same time, the bank has developed a specialized application HDBank Rural app with many features and utilities specifically for customers in agricultural and rural areas across the country.
HDBank leaders once shared that in the strategy of focusing on developing the local economy and key industries, HDBank has upgraded the design of its product and service portfolio for the agricultural and rural sectors.
Many preferential programs and specialized products of HDBank in this field have quickly attracted many customers to expand market share, with effective linkages and value chains in production and business.
Help develop sustainable agriculture
For many years, HDBank has built and developed a loan product specifically for agriculture with unlimited loan amounts from 50 million VND, flexible loan terms and repayment methods, and simple documents, helping customers promptly access loan packages suitable for their production needs and family economic development.
In addition, HDBank offers many incentives on fees and loan interest rates for individual customers and corporate customers operating in fields such as pepper, coffee, cashew, rice, etc.
The Bank also implements loan packages to supplement working capital (payment/advance payment for rice purchase), guarantees for agents, issuance of LCs, post-delivery export financing to serve food export business activities, creating timely capital sources for businesses during the peak harvest season.
The above credit packages of HDBank will help farmers and businesses in large agricultural value chains have more capital for production and business, carry out appropriate farming restructuring projects, and ensure sustainable agricultural development.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Branch, said that the credit system in Ho Chi Minh City has recently met the capital demand for agricultural production development programs, agricultural restructuring and new rural construction.
To date, the total outstanding loans for the agricultural and rural sector under Decree 55 have reached VND345,581 billion, with 2.01 million customers. Compared to the end of last year, this figure increased by 2%, of which loans from individuals and business households reached VND115,991 billion, accounting for 33.5% of the total outstanding loans.

In December 2023, HDBank launched the HDBank Rural service with the outstanding product being the HDBank Rural app. HDBank also implemented the "Rural agricultural loans" promotion for individual customers registering for new loans through the Collaborator program on the HDBank Rural app.
Directing large capital flows into the agricultural and rural chains is one of the important contents in Directive 10 of the Prime Minister on promoting sustainable, transparent and effective production, business and rice export in the new situation. Because besides good capital absorption, the agricultural and rural areas will create opportunities to develop solutions in cash flow management and chain lending, deploying technological and digital utilities.
In this market area, HDBank has successfully financed large-scale chains. This is also a "big data" for the number of digital customers and transactions on HDBank's digital channels to increase many times in just a few years.
With a chain-based lending strategy, HDBank is working with businesses and farmers to seize growth opportunities in the potential rice market, contributing to opening up expectations for the Vietnamese rice industry to reach new records, with a new position in the international arena.
