Located about 17km northwest of the city center, Nam O reef is famous for its wild and idyllic beauty. There are many layers of reefs hidden under the clear blue sea water, combined with stacked cliffs to create a majestic landscape.
When the tide recedes, large and small rocks along the coast are covered with a layer of green moss, spreading out like a soft carpet.
According to locals, moss in Nam O grows the most around February - March every year. This is also the ideal time for tourists to visit, enjoy the peaceful space and record beautiful moments next to the moss field.
To fully enjoy the beauty of the moss field, visitors should come at low tide, usually early in the morning or late in the afternoon. At that time, the gentle sunlight shines on the clear water and green moss, creating a beautiful scene.

Late afternoon, Nguyen Thi Thuy Lai (student of the University of Education - Danang University) and her friends eagerly explored the moss field. Lai said that the mossy rock surface is very slippery, so be careful when moving in areas with many hidden rocks.
"The scenery here is really beautiful. The green moss on the rocks looks very pleasing to the eye and pleasant. We took the opportunity to take many beautiful photos before the sun set," said Lai.
Not only attracting tourists, Nam O moss beach is also a favorite destination for photographers who love to capture moments.
Nguyen Trung Hieu (a tourist from Quang Binh) was lucky to visit Da Nang during moss season. "The moment the waves hit the moss field, combined with the sunset and exposure techniques, created beautiful photos," Hieu excitedly said.
The green moss season in Nam O lasts for more than a month. The wild and magical beauty makes the moss field one of the check-in spots not to be missed when coming to Da Nang in the spring.
