On the morning of May 14, comrades: Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the eighth meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity to discuss the situation and results of the Provincial Steering Committee's activities, the progress of monitoring and directing the settlement of cases and incidents under the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee. Attending the meeting were comrade Hoang Thai Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Steering Committee.

In the first 5 months of the year, the Provincial Steering Committee issued 6 documents, directing the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to issue 7 documents on preventing and combating corruption and negativity to lead, direct and promptly implement the regulations of the Central Government and the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee after meetings. The 2024 work program of the Provincial Steering Committee has been seriously implemented since the beginning of the year. Since the 7th meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee, all levels and sectors have thoroughly grasped, deployed and seriously and promptly implemented the regulations and directions of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Many solutions have been proactively implemented to prevent, detect and strictly handle corruption and negativity in the area. Therefore, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has had many clear changes, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors, cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees in performing their assigned duties and tasks. Members of the Provincial Steering Committee have been proactive, active and responsible in implementing tasks according to the 2024 Work Program of the Provincial Steering Committee, in which many tasks have been effectively implemented and created a widespread impact such as: the work of thoroughly grasping, implementing and concretizing regulations on power control, preventing and combating corruption and negativity; the review and promulgation of provincial regulations related to the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; the direction and handling of cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee and cases related to corruption and negativity have been detected and handled promptly.

After listening to the discussion opinions of the members of the Provincial Steering Committee, in his concluding remarks, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee, agreed with the proposal on plans, tasks, and solutions of the advisory agency in performing the task of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the coming time; agreed to remove one case from the list of cases being monitored and directed by the Provincial Steering Committee because the appeal judgment has come into legal effect.
He also emphasized a number of issues that the Provincial Steering Committee needs to unify in the conclusion of the direction, suggesting issues that need to be focused on and implemented well in the coming time. In particular, all levels, sectors, the Provincial Steering Committee, and members of the Provincial Steering Committee should promote the achieved results, strengthen their responsibilities, especially strengthen coordination to both continue to well implement the policies and directions of the higher levels and complete the tasks assigned by the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, closely following the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Promote the role of each level, each sector, each focal point, promote the role and responsibility, improve the effectiveness of resolving and handling cases and incidents right from the beginning, promptly and from the grassroots level. Strengthen dialogue, resolve petitions, complaints and denunciations of citizens. While promoting the implementation of general policies, we also focus specifically on areas and issues that arise in the area such as finance, land, policies and regimes, etc. to have timely leadership and direction measures to resolve them. Further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership and direction at all levels, especially consolidating and perfecting the capacity of government agencies in advising the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on policies and measures to ensure good implementation of the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and assigned tasks.
