On January 10, news from Tra Vinh City Police (Tra Vinh) said that the unit is consolidating the case file to handle a group of teenagers involved in the act of intentionally causing injury, which occurred on Mau Than Street, in Hamlet 6, Ward 9, Tra Vinh City. This group used helmets to beat TQK, a 10th grade male student, and filmed the clip and posted it on social media.

The group of 12 teenagers summoned for questioning are between the ages of 15 and 18, residing in Tra Vinh City and Chau Thanh District (Tra Vinh).
According to initial information, BITN and NHPKh (in a group of 12 people) were beaten by TQK's group of friends (16 years old, Tra Vinh City High School) but were stopped by everyone. On January 9, N. and Kh. found TQK to beat him.
A group of teenagers were summoned to the police station to clarify the case of a gang beating of a 10th grade male student.
After school, N. and Kh. arranged to fight again with K.'s group in Ward 9, Tra Vinh City. To increase their strength, N.'s group called more friends to join them. When they arrived at the meeting place, N.'s group rushed in and continuously used their hands and helmets to beat K. unconscious. One of them even filmed the clip and posted it on social media.
Immediately afterwards, K. was taken to Tra Vinh General Hospital for emergency treatment with initial injuries identified as a swollen left cheek, bleeding from the nose and mouth, and multiple soft tissue injuries.
Upon receiving the report, on the night of January 9, Tra Vinh City Police urgently verified and summoned those involved to the police station for questioning. There, the 12 teenagers admitted to participating in beating K., causing injuries.
The case of a male student being beaten by 12 people is being further investigated by Tra Vinh City Police to be handled according to the law.
