On the afternoon of September 21, Mr. Ly Thanh Tam - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Phuoc province, said that he had directed the leaders of Bu Dang High School to report the incident of a student being beaten in front of the school gate to coordinate with the police to investigate and handle according to regulations.
According to a report from Bu Dang District Police, at noon on September 20, during recess between classes, Tran Thanh Dat (born in 2009, a student in class 10A8 at Bu Dang High School) sat on a stone bench in front of the classroom door playing.
At this time, Nguyen Hoai Anh (born in 2008, a student of class 11A7) and some of Hoai Anh's friends passed by where Dat was sitting. Dat saw some of Hoai Anh's friends looking at him, so he thought that Hoai Anh's group was "looking at" him. Dat said to Hoai Anh's group: "What are you looking at?"

At this time, Hoai Anh's group heard that and angrily approached Dat, grabbed his collar, and dragged him towards the school's restroom, but Dat did not go. Dat went into the classroom and was punched and kicked by Hoai Anh's group.
After finishing school, Dat went outside the school grounds to meet a friend named Nguyen Bao (a social friend of Dat's who he met through Facebook) and told him about being beaten by Hoai Anh's group.
At this time, Dat saw Hoai Anh nearby so Dat and Bao rushed to beat her. Dat saw Hoai Anh's face bleeding so he ran away.
Duc Phong town police have invited Dat to the headquarters for questioning. Hoai Anh was injured and was taken by relatives to Binh Phuoc General Hospital for treatment. As for Bao, the police are coordinating to verify and clarify.
Regarding the incident, Mr. Tran Quang Cuong - Vice Principal in charge of Bu Dang High School said that as soon as the information was received, the school sent a dispatch requesting Duc Phong Town Police to assist in investigating and handling the case.
On the school side, the board of directors called to discuss and encourage the parents of the student who was beaten; reassured the public opinion of the staff, teachers, and students in the school and coordinated with the authorities to resolve the incident. As for the student who beat his friend Tran Thanh Dat, class 10A8, he has not been to class since yesterday afternoon.
The school has contacted Dat's parents through the homeroom teacher to inform them of the incident. The school will continue to contact local authorities, parents, and relevant authorities to resolve the incident. The school will strictly handle students who violate the regulations.
